Certainly is worse, there’s no new tech to be found with the JazzInc figure. A seamless body and plastic rolling eyes isn’t revolutionary.
So the magnetic movable eyes in JND is new tech that costs almost DOUBLE the price of the Jazzinc 2-pack, and that makes it better value not because of price but new tech?
Not to mention, it’s 2 bodies not 3, 2 heads only 1 that’s rooted and the other is sculpted. At 1.8k you’re paying $900 each vs $500 each for the Jazzinc 2 pack.
If there’s no new tech in Jazzinc Catwoman but they’re at least giving the latest of HT innovation at a cheaper price than this. Jazz is better value.
But its a custom seamless body that better matches Michelle's proportions, so there's that. Maybe not new tech but innovative at least.
I get what you're saying about people spending more overall on multiple figures. However, for some, the cost of a single item can be a significant factor in whether they choose to buy it or not.
Like for example a person's budget might be like 3k a year on figures, If they buy a premium piece like Catwoman, then that might limit them to only 2-3 additional figures and that's it. Whereas if they didn't they can possibly purchase 10 figures or more for that budget.
You can possibly complete an entire collection line for the price of a single JND Catwoman figure, so it really boil downs to personal budgeting and what each person values in their collection.

For $1800 the figure needs to be dead on accurate and blow away any other versions in terms of accuracy and details - the ‘new tech’ is all secondary to that
In that respect, the catwoman suit on JND is way off in the chest area as has been pointed out and very obviously so. HT 1.0 which came out over a decade ago is more accurate than that - that’s pretty poor in my book and would be a fail even if this was a $200 figure

The JND figure does have some "technical" advancements above and beyond the typical figure - they're using silicone, and, more importantly, is the internal skeleton developed by Kojun - as far as I can tell - it's an "advanced" endo-skeleton - armature, that allows for a much more realistic movement.
Now - the question is - are these technical advancements necessary? do they greatly improve the users "play" experience - suspension of disbelief? Or are these things just gimmicks to justify a higher price? - I guess, in reality, both options can be true. I mean, if everyone wanted the cheapest figure they could buy, everyone would be out collecting Marvel Legends or Funko-pops - so at some point, we (as collectors) are here because we sweat the details....
On the point of buying 1 figure vs filling a whole shelf - realistically, that's a question of Quality over Quantity. For me (as if anyone cares) - but I would rather have 1 f**k off awesome piece in my budget, then 100 lesser pieces. That being said, who's to say this JND piece qualifies as that 1 f**k off piece? That's subjective of course - but you would hope, that paying $1800 for a single figure set - for the buyer, this should be considered a serious centre piece - and not just another notch on the "nice to have" list.....unless you're stinking rich of course, and $1800 is just chumpt change.

Sure, that’s one, singular detail, but what about all the other ones that are exceptionally done and haven’t been done to this degree ever before, for any character, from a company at the scale.
This Catwoman set is revolutionary, they shelled out for Louis Vuitton branding for crying out loud.
I agree, the suit needs refinement, but to expect anything better than this for an
$800-900 figure isn’t reality. You’re into customs as am I, you know the drill, we’ve paid well over this to complete a full custom figure.
Their Ledger Joker isn’t viewed that way because of the level customs have achieved, but those achievements cost money, and a decent amount of it. It’s not one complete package ready to go, we’re talking countless parts, countless shipping fees, PayPal fees.

They paid the dues for Dr Marten.
They made a point that they were going
for branding on their releases that required it.
As someone who purchases designer clothing from time to time, people forget how loaded these people are. They love designer clothing.

I don’t see why paying for a brand name is revolutionary. If we’re going by that standard the Rocky training figure being released by Sly Stallone Shop should be considered the same since they’re able to use Converse.
I used that as merely one example of why it is.
On what planet is that Rocky figure in the same league as this.
They could have not included details on the luggage zipper like that and someone like yourself would be none the wiser to its absence. I however, appreciate it completely.
What else makes it revolutionary to warrant a price 6x more than a Hot Toy?

Unproven tech and I suspect will be more fiddly / time consuming than using a finger to rotate. And internal magnetic breaks, you’re fkd.

Individually speaking, it’s 3x more than a single HT. Like @intothevoid said the new tech is secondary if the figure accuracy fails.

I really hope she turns out good. I definitely felt way more anxious about ordering her than InArt’s Joker. We don’t know what the hell we’ll be getting in the box when she ships.
Just need her to look good next to the Hot Toys & Mars figures.
I’m worried about if there’ll be the SERS hatch on that Jazzinc figure or if they’ll make it accessible up inside of the sculpt itself.
Still left with a two piece head and neck which I’ve never been a fan of, either route.
To me that release is much more of a gamble than this is, Joost is not the artist Kojun is, nor are his appointed painters and sculptors. He also isn’t making them in-house but likely in the same Chinese factory that couldn’t be bothered to adhere paint correctly to the Batmobile.
