It'd be nicer if a company with this much money and talent could put it into something different instead of offering 'better' takes on stuff that has been done already. Never gonna happen though....

They have to get the business and invest in other IP's. Nolanverse always a money maker especially at 1/6. They said, they will always be loyal to WB since they were the first IP to give them a chance. Disney doesn't have as much faith which is why they only got the Korea and HK territory. Hopefully with the release of Indy, they can get more from the Mouse.

Fatigue is going to set in. Only the hardcore TDK Trilogy fanboys keep doing this to themselves.

I just watched the Dark Knight after not watching it for awhile and I found it pretty boring. Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, even Gary Oldman snooooooze. It’s like something out of the blandest Criminal Minds or CSI episode. The fight and action scenes don’t hold up and Batman is goofy as hell. I really don’t see how this is so popular over in Asia, unless these toy companies are just catering to American and European interests by always going for that TDK egg. The Hong Kong sequence is a waste of time. Almost feels stretched and mandated having any sort of international connection to a Chicago-esque mob. Lau is a bore.

The only thing that remains gold is the Joker, but I don’t know if it’s enough to warrant 3 figures a year out of him.

**** TDK Batman.

I was more thinking outside of big franchises. Things like Total Recall or maybe Beverly Hills Cop, stuff you wouldn't always see.

Problem is would people pay $1100+ for one figure for those licenses? People were throwing suggestions and even Daniel asked if people would pay for said IP/character. They’ll expand. I’m thinking they have the John Wick license for either 1/6 or 1/3.

Probably not, and that's their biggest problem. If you could afford a cinema ticket in the 80's, you may not be able to afford a high end action figure now.

I'm not sure what to think about those pictures. Part of me thinks its very good, very lifelike in terms of the outfit scaling with the head sculpt... but then part of me thinks it doesn't look very much like Ledger. It does... but it doesn't.

I guess if it looks that good in macro, it should look great at scale in hand.

I do enjoy that pose though. Looks like Joker is telling Wayne: You remind of my father.

Confession time:
I never, even for a moment, liked Bale as Batman.
But I loved the supporting cast and villains.
Bale makes a fantastic Bruce Wayne imo, the perfect actor to exude the act of a playboy persona while hiding his true personality from the world. Think about it, the guy who played that exact caricature in American Psycho, was able to balance it out with someone with trauma and a deep sense of need to help his community while getting dragged by that very same community when he’s not their hero Batman, but a spoiled little rich brat in their eyes. Now his take on Batman could’ve took a few different turns imo, the voice, TDK suit, and his ability to act as Batman could’ve all been a bit more broody, more gothic, but it mostly comes down to what Nolan wanted, Bale is about as good of an actor for the part as you’d need, it’s just that a bit more direction was needed. But any actor was destined to get overshadowed by Ledger.
