That's fair mate, are you looking to keep your order or not?

I'm interested in what made you order in the first place and what you perceive the differences to be from the latest released pictures and the proto?
Still undecided on following through with the order tbh.
I’m leaning more towards cancelling though.

I typically will give things a go and just sell them on if I’m still not feeling it after they arrive to recoup the cost but the extremely negative reaction to this along with the already exceptionally high price suggests that getting my money back would be highly improbable.
I try not to be influenced by the opinions of others but if I’m relying on someone else to take this thing off my hands, I need to factor community consensus into my decision.

It’s also releasing at a bad time where a whole bunch of InArt home runs have dropped consecutively and left me quite strapped for disposable cash since I’m hoping to avoid dipping into savings. At any other time of year, I’d probably be more likely to just take a gamble.

The disappointment is high with this as I was really hoping to be impressed with the production piece but it just leaves me underwhelmed, almost unmoved at all, and I simply don’t see any Heath in the sculpt.
I never did in all honesty but I wanted to experience the silicone and magnetic eyes gimmicks, plus I’ve read about how JND pieces need to be seen in person and photograph poorly.

Essentially I preordered hoping I’d somehow be impressed with the end result when it surfaced, but that hasn’t happened.

I’m nowhere close to being a Joker outfit expert and I’m mostly satisfied with JND except for the inexplicably long shirt sleeves, new colour of the vest, and the coat lapels that now shoot in over his shoulders.
For the price, every minor flaw is amplified. The darker hair also irritates me.

I’m waiting for an in depth video review to really inform my decision. Hopefully Dean gets a copy. He’s longwinded but thorough.

whose’s selling option a on the cheap 😏

Well, I think a couple of others did also, I guess @Chopper Face got the single edition whether he keeps it or not, can't remember if @Godfather1408 ordered or not, or was going to - @Gipetto0812 maybe did?.

Not sure if I was the only one to get the Type C edition out of those. Would have been nice to discuss getting it along with others who did also. I don't know about anyone else, but if I reach into the cold buried memories of the past of why I joined this site it was to talk about how great the figures I collected were and 1/6 in general, not to **** talk other people's purchases and figures regardless of what they were.

Shame that regardless of what was made that there can't even be a good discussion with those who haven't purchased the set of how this came out, considering it is doing new stuff within the 1/6 mass market field and perhaps could be adopted down the line by other companies.
Value will always be the hottest topic with any scale but when you are now pricing a 1/6 product at the same price of 1/3, actually EVEN MORE, that will set the community on fire!

The SS HALF SCALE Wolverine statue which is hands down the best Wolverine statue ever made is UNDER $900!

Grant it that’s an outlier in the statue community and is considered one of the best values in modern statue collecting history, but it’s a real thing that can’t be ignored when conpared to this 1/6 Joker.

Collectors are fired up over this, just a reality.

i loathe jnd as a company and their lack of transparency but I'm a sucker for joker

have customs, hot toy (gonna modify), modified inart, and jnd on order

its just another ledger to be shoved in the back with the other 2 companies

That’s a shame. Genuinely.

When his posts weren’t filled with an air of condescension and disdain for InArt, he was an ok guy.

And if we’re being honest here…he spent the most time in Joker threads…

Which threads did I mention got closed and cleaned up the most?

His passion can be a bit much at times and could’ve used a bit of reigning in.

Regardless, I hope he comes back sometime.
You need someone like Nick to keep things balanced around here. I appreciated his insight and attention to detail. I could see how his approach rubbed others the wrong way, but he was a genuine and decent guy.

And it was fun seeing him and @HyperDrive poke at each other all the time.

You're right.

What aspect of this figure set are you most anticipating? Do you really want to see aspects of this figure become standard in 1/6 if that also "enables" other companies to increase their prices?

Are you concerned about the silicone longevity - especially in moving parts (different to statues - of course).

Chopper said he ordered the JND as well, but not sure if he canceled it. I'm assuming so.

Joker doesn't mean enough for me to have ordered this. I like the new technology they have shown and am intrigued by it. The sculpts look like a Joker for what it's worth, although I don't believe it resembles Heath very much.

I did order the JND Harry Potter Quidditch figure. At $600 it's worth the gamble to me to have that version along with the seemless neck and magnetic eyes. I know majority people didnt like that sculpt. I dont mind it as it looks more like a CoS or PoA age to me. I fully expect what I preordered to be what I get, and have every intentions to keep the order. If it was Ledger Joker prices, I doubt I would have ordered though.

I do have all three rooted InArt Harry Potter figures on order with having Harry already in hand, Ron on the way, and Hermione preordered. I'm still not thrilled with the InArt Hermione sculpt, but believe they will improve it. I'm still heavily debating ordering the three Kojan Lite figures. At the very least getting the Hermione one.

funny thing is hyperdrive is more vocal on facebook. i get the passion behind him like pestering inart about details or commenting about the EP3 Palpatine likeness being poor and people making fun of him for it.

reasons like that makes me believe and think sometimes the community doesn't deserve people like them who put endless hours doing research in hoping for a better product for everyone. but how can we do that when we get called nitpicky or asking too much when the majority just blindly buy without thought.

their money, I guess. I've just learned to keep my comments to myself because its better for myself to hold onto information than share it to people who aren't thankful about it

this community has made me more careful of what I post and share with others for the fact that it will only go through deaf ears and somehow I'm the laughing stock for proving something

before the flash keaton came out, I've countlessly commented on the inaccuracy on the collar piece and now people are making a huge hissy fit about it. i just don't bother anymore. people don't deserve good things. let them feed off of these companies mindlessly

Moving magnetic eyes and the completely seamless and fully articulated lower arm/hands/fingers as well as the neck.

I never wanted to get into statues but I did with JND mostly because Hot Toys 1/6 kept feeling like toys and the obvious visible joints was ruining the realism.

I'm hoping and wondering how it will work and how well. There's a risk of course to the tech. I enjoy the Silicone skin and prefer it to plastic sculpts for a few reasons, but resin has some better aspects silicone doesn't, also.

In particular posing with the hunch, for example. My interest with Inart straight away was the anatomy and posture of the figures, that's what separated them from Hot Toys for me. This is the next step of that in 1/6, very interested to see how well executed it is.

I love the glass eyes in the statues, so a form where you don't need to mess with the rooted hair to adjust the eyes is pretty neat also.

Not really concerned about the silicone longevity. Am concerned about JND as a company being truthful - such as the colour discrepancies with JLWW, that clearly was not a defect of the silicone but a manufacture process defect and willfull ignorance.

Yeah. Better to keep these conversations with like minded people.

damn straight. at least i know the stuff I share can be appreciated and it goes both ways.
Well said.

We either get laughed at or downvoted to oblivion on other forums. This is the only 1/6 forum where attention to details can be discussed and appreciated.

Not sure if I was the only one to get the Type C edition out of those. Would have been nice to discuss getting it along with others who did also. I didn't/haven't purchase, though I've teetered on it for quite awhile. If I was I able to order direct from JND on this, I probably would've ordered Type-C, but the TDK figures aren't available direct from JND for US customers. That leaves Specfiction as my only option (who I'm on the Type C waitlist for in case I do want to give it a try).

I will say, if this was going to be my only TDK Joker, I think I'd mostly be pretty happy with it. I've been very vocal about my disappointment for InArt's version which has probably been my biggest disappointment and waste of money in this hobby from what I can remember, at least in fairly recent times. If the HT wasn't pleasing to me, then JND would be the go to for sure. But, I feel like I can salvage from both the HT and InArt parts to make what will be ultimate TDK Joker(s) for me and would cost me as much as the Type C version most likely. That said, there is the school of thought that I could probably sell both the InArt and HT versions and come out on top as far money spent instead of spending even more money to "perfect" the HT and InArt sculpts.

For me, the only issues I've had with the JND set are lack of gloved hand gestures (same issue I have with Artisan HT), no shotgun and no lead pipe (considering he comes with the dogs). And, if JND wanted to be even more different than HT/InArt, they could've done the version of his vest/waistcoat that comes with the coin and flower buttons, again since it comes with the dogs. Or, included both vests for the Type C version

more like the only one thats still breathing and even then sometimes the notes arent even appreciated. how can I criticize inart without being called a negative nancy when there were so many notes given to them prior in hopes they put out the best phoenix in 1/6 from a company

I'm mad at the company than the fact that the set is expensive for not following through on the notes provided early on. they took some, but didn't consider the others
