Likewise, man. Very interested to hear what you have in mind later when you get the figures.

Yes, the risk factor is always there. Silicone deteriorates, but nowadays we have medical silicone used for figures and statues.. and the right technology to make sure it lasts. (like for instance.. don't ever put them as your outdoor garden gnome).

With the right combination of home appliances such as AC, dehumidifier, humidity/temperature indicator, and acrylic case, they can last up to 30 years, at least. And after that, it's not that they are going to melt. They just got dried and might have small cracks.

If only the Jim Henson TMNT costumes are made from medical silicones! Always sad to see them rot like that. (even though NECA did a great job taking a poke at that).

I'm just like you, mate. I worked hard to get them figures and statues. And if I don't already have the InArt two-pack, I might go in the same direction.

Yes, I shared that view too in some cases..
All the new HT figures have the separate rolling eyeballs feature, priced similarly to previous figures without this feature, which irritates me. For example, Spider-Man Tobey (no separate rolling eyeballz) and Green Goblin's green armor (with rolling eyeballs, but without glide), both at almost the same price, around $300– released relatively close together. It seems HT previously enjoyed substantial profits until competition forced them to innovate and adjust their pricing strategy.

Will give an honest impression. If it's not worth what I paid I probably wouldn't want to purchase any other 1/6 from them. As it stands, from proto pics and the new pics, for sure I am liking what I see. Now to get in-hand and experience their first 1/6 with glass eyes that move without affecting the rooted hair, articulated seamlessness etc. and the incredibly nice looking tailoring... Have to experience it. I'd fallen out of love with getting 1/6, became incredibly boring yet more expensive.

I'm well aware that the most identical likeness will always be custom. But point me to a figure that does this let alone a double pack for what I paid (around 1300) and then there can be discussion.

I feel you on those last points. Did you order direct btw?

They’re from James Park’s YouTube page. I couldn’t save them for the full hi-res pics so just did screen shots.

Cheers for that.

I was ready to be just content with the release of it coming out just alright. But that first picture is ******* incredible. Even more excited to get this in now.

Although I'd still like the inner-most part of his eyes to be more black, the red of his scars are looking more pronounced here and the overall black eye makeup is looking better.

The neatness and how crisp the shirt and tie are is sublime for 1/6.

Thanks for the link and sharing the photos in the first place. I wouldn't have seen them otherwise.

I was able to download the images from the post.

Jesus Christ that tailoring really stands out, they got it perfectly form-fitting with great colours. The eye magnets look quite seemless also, although they didn't showcase it the best here, but looks like it works well enough. The rooted hair looks incredibly well done outside of small run artist made batches.

Overall this is looking phenomenal. Hope they release an English official unboxing like they have done in the past.

I agree with you.
I am considering retiring from collecting anyway (lately it's nothing new but reissues and also space problems!) so I don't think I will purchase any other 1/6 from JND. It's just that this one is a special one, for me, as this is their first, with the new technology and all, and it being Ledger Joker. So I want to have it, and like you said, have to experience it.

And yes, from the videos, I like what I see.

I did not order direct, no.. I ordered from my local supplier. I don't know when he will get his batch, but I am not in a rush either. :)

Sculpt still looking like a cosplayer, yes the default one. Bad straight green colored hair, proto color was way better and had variation.

The tie pattern and vest color are what I like best about this. I hate HT's tie.

But those overcoat lapels... man, I don't know why they made them so high. Even HT has better positioned lapels.

No suspenders is a clear indicator that these guys are not remotely familiar with the 1/6 community/market.

I'm still not blown away.
The tailoring is decent but those coat lapels are random as hell and overall this just doesn't wow me. For this price, I should be wowed.

Also, what does Joker have at the end of his pocket chain? I can't imagine him carrying cards and petty cash around in a wallet. Maybe it's keys to the Joker mobile or a nice river-view Gotham apartment.

No shade at the manufacturers, but no one has been able to reproduce his overcoat at 1/6 without it turning out like a bathrobe. Despite being well pressed, or having squared shoulders, or perfect lapels, it's still looks puffy and thick everywhere, compared to the loose hanging drape it has in real life. I think it's just a reality of packing on this many layers of fabric at 1/6 scale. But it always ruins the effect for me.

I wonder what it could look like if some custom tailor did a facade of the undercoat/blazer that had no sleeves and no back and was stitched to the inside of the purple coat?

Oh boy... if you're just used to unpacking your figures and plonking them in a detour, this is going to be a nightmare! :lol
I dressed and undressed enough WWII figures with three or four layers of clothing plus gear to know how utterly nerve-wracking this can be. Having said that, the figure looks pretty great!
