I'm more worried about the hat than anything else.

Seems I just might be eating a large pre-order deposit on this one!

Agreed. After that Wonderfest display I'm also really worried about the stance - every angle taken at the event (which is supposedly the production run) has him in this weird, unnaturally, bordering on physically impossible, stance/lean. Looks awful.

And the pants color - don't even know how to custom fix that one without cutting off his ankles

And the weird looking lack of upper body mass.

And the skinny head.

Seems like the production run (based on Wondefest) is a huge step back from the prototype.

I'm just hoping I'm really, really, wrong.

I put this image on the JND Studios Community page on their website (not that it will make any difference because it appears that nobody responds on there and it's already been produced). I just wanted to vent my disappointment over there if they haven't updated the pants fabric at least.

Any idea how you're going to fix yours when you get it?

I'm going to be looking to you for guidance on all the mods to make it (somewhat) presentable.

It's always been my intention to convert this into Raiders of the Lost Ark version as best as I can. You've probably seen that I've already got the parts I THOUGHT I was going to need (Raiders Fedora, Holster, gunbelt, pants belt and whip), but if it's going to also need new pants - I'll have to try and find a seamstress who can make them. Finding more of the correct colored fabric that I had a small sample of too will need to be done. The Youtuber who told me JND were going to improve it seems to think that we WILL see some improvements in the unboxing, so I'm holding on until they reveal it before I start looking around for someone to make new pants for it. It will be nice to finally see what the head looks like without the incorrectly shaped, too big Fedora on it when they show the unboxing as they haven't shown that anywhere yet other than the reveal video where he was having his eye inserted.

Apparently, these photos surfaced today and are of the final production statues. I'm speechless about their complete lack of attention to the pants color. The stance looks a little more balanced though.
@cking I posted your Indy likeness comparison and pants comparison images on the FB group as Marina Kan (she posted these new pics) said she would take feedback to JNB. I am happy to take them down if you like. I think you stated you don’t do much with FB.

I'm happy for as many people to have posted my comparison images as possible but sadly, it appears that it hasn't done any good if that final production photo is anything to go by. Weird eyebrows still there. Hat shape no better. Pants color completely wrong. What a massive shame.

You’re probably correct. We’re in the final marketing stage now, I suspect. Sad. What could have been.

Yup. Can't ever recall any Indy iteration with those colored pants.

WTF JND??? That's not even remotely the same as the prototype.

Some interesting news. It turns out that those photos were taken in February 2024, so is probably NOT the final product! (I've removed my post with the photos as I didn't want to cause more drama based on what has now turned out to be incorrect info I was given when the photos were sent to me). Fingers can remain crossed for some improvements!

Yes, she's changed her post now apparently to confirm that they are indeed the PROTOTYPE and the photos were taken in February 2024. Thank goodness for that!

Don't let the hat put you off. I've hopefully got that covered once I've got mine here and can accurately measure the size of the head so the custom Fedora can be made to the correct size to fit much better than what JND have given us (unless the unboxing video reveals that they've changed it, but I doubt that).
Might have to take you up on that!

Unboxing? :huh
The didn't say the unboxing was going to be this week. They said they were going to film the unboxing. Probably another week or so before they actually finish editing it, etc. and put it up on youtube

Aragorn is also supposed to be revealed this month so they've got a busy end of the year ahead of them.

Where were those posted rowan1936?

Well, I guess they've come through with something that looks like the prototype (with improved skin tone so he doesn't look so ill) but man, what a MASSIVE miss that likeness is just because of the eyes and eyebrows. So I guess all of the "we've heard your comments" and "will be improving the likeness" was all complete BS because from these photos, it appears that NONE of the sculpted details have been changed at all which presumably means we'll be seeing the horribly inaccurate pants color on the production statue too.

This could have EASILY been SO much better. It will be interesting to see the backlash that this gets due to the fact that they clearly don't listen / take on board the suggestions / comments of 95% of their customers who said the likeness needs to be improved to bring it up to the same level as the Connery sculpt.
My only LAST bit of hope is that once we start to see in hand photos posted by collectors, it will look a bit better (same as what happened with the Reeve Superman and Clark).

Here's the proto vs production.

These were posted on the FB JND group an hour ago.

What has the reaction to the production reveal been like over there? Are people as disappointed there too, or is it being "praised" as a masterpiece?
I feel sick to my stomach because stupidly, I sold lots of treasured items from my collection to be able to buy this assuming that they really would have "listened to the feedback" and given us the ultimate Indiana Jones collectible. Obviously, I'm not blaming JND for my blind hope that this was going to be any better than the prototype, but it's a real kick in the guts that they made no attempt to improve any of it. Their ego must be even bigger than their hyped up videos if they think that this couldn't be improved :(
