As I said in my mini review, it's not perfect, but a friend has the Cinemaquette, and I used to have the Sideshow 1/4 back in the day, so after 43 years of feeble offerings of Indy collectibles, I can confidently say this is by far the "best" we've had available to date... albeit, flawed.

Weirdly, I've seen the Cinemaquette available again... :huh
I hear you and yes, for sure it's the best Indy offering we've ever had (and are every likely to get), but it's just such a shame that simple things are overlooked and we already heard about Disney not allowing any more changes to be made. I really do hope they haven't screwed the height up though as that is probably the thing that would bug me the most. Thanks for your fantastic quality photos of it though and I was pleased to see that you pulled his pants down a bit to make them look more accurate length where they meet his boots. Much better than the way JND arranged the costume on their production reveal video.

I ordered mine from TRZ Collectibles in Singapore (authorized JND Retailers), but they haven't received their stock allocation yet (although they did say it should be coming in the next week or two).

Mandible, does the plaque / base actually say that the edition size was 100?

Yes. And on the shipper box as well. I got 89/100.

Ended up getting mine from ST.

In future I'll be getting any JND's (if I do get anymore), through BBTS - apparently they double box everything. I'm sick and tired of delivery drivers treating parcels like footballs - particularly for these mega-expensive items. So frustrating. I know the shippers are literally for shipping, but for resale value (especially when the edition size is printed on the shipper), it would be great to receive them in perfect condition.

Same, so long as they’re not incredibly overpriced. Not sure where the variance comes from but some JND statues are priced similarly to other US retailers and some are $300 more. I got Reeve Superman from BBTS and the packaging was unparalleled. Double-boxed with an extra layer of bubble wrap.

I think this will live or die on how much futzing you do (and if you want to make it even better, then do a few of the upgrades).

But saying that, the more time I spend with it, the more I like it. But it is definitely not meant to be viewed from that right side of his face.

The other thing I would say is - I love the character of Indy (first 3 movies only) beyond words and always have, and I'm not really a Batman person (really enjoyed The Dark Knight, and enjoyed 80% of The Batman) but as a "show" piece, The Batman is just jaw dropping.

Awesome. You got really lucky (like I did with Superman) in that you got the edition size that matches the year the movie was released. I got 78 for Superman and Clark and you've got 89 for Last Crusade Indy. Cool!

Hopefully it looks more like Ford in person? I found that the likeness to Chris Reeve was much better when viewing the Superman in person, so I'm hoping it will be the same reaction that I have with this Indy.

I am going to do everything I can to improve the look / fit of the jacket (especially the way the collar looks) and of course, see how my Raiders upgrade parts look on it. The custom hat I've got is far superior shape to the one JND have given us, so that will improve it's overall silhouette straight away I'm hoping. I've always preferred the gunbelt / holster and darker brown pants belt on the Raiders costume too so I'm looking forward to putting those onto the statue instead of the Last Crusade versions.

I will display the Joseph Strain accurate whip coiled and hanging on his whip holder on the gunbelt and will put the custom Smith & Wesson revolver in his right hand instead.

Holy crap! I didn't even think about the edition number!!!!!!!! Thanks for pointing that one, out, sir! (Very cool on yours too!).

Can't wait to see yours all set up!

It's good you're going in with tempered expectations. I've definitely found the more time I spend with it the more I like it, but still well and truly aware of it's shortcomings.

I will once we've managed to get a successful size and fit onto the JND head which I can't do until I've received my statue. Foolishly, I assumed that the JND sculpts were accurate 1:3 scale versions of the real actors, but if the Reeve Superman is anything to go by, the head measurement (and consequently, the size of the hat) may need to be adjusted from the test print that I've got here currently because the test print was sized to accurate full size measurements of the real correctly sized hat that Harrison wore in the movies, but if the statue's head is smaller, the hat size will need to be adjusted.
