I know. I was just joking around. LOL, that guys stuff is so over the top that it would make Freddy look like Willy Wonka compared to his pics. LOL :lol, I will post that last one though for sure. I know you always appreciate photography and I like the way that one came out from a photo perspective.

Re: Joebizz34's custom work

Sweet looking Freddy!!! Awesome work as usual my friend.

I have to check out this Gallery Thread to see what you guys are going on about.

The stuff he is posting is artistic from a custom perspective. Your's is artistic from a photography perspective. Frankly your's is more what I had in mind when I made that thread.

I really wish he would start his own custom thread (and I posted him a visitor message about it) because he is kind of derailing the thread. But I really enjoy seeing his work so I'm not gonna make a big deal out of it. I just hope others continue to contribute too. :peace

You hit the nail on the head. His stuff is great and he has a wild imagination. He really should start his own thread. He would get a lot of attention. But don't worry man. With my new camera I have come to appreciate the photography side of things myself. I will always contribute.

Re: Joebizz34's Customs, Re-Paints and Kitbashing

Your stuff is really good. I love the Myers on your first page and I really love your Freddy. He is my favorite. I saw these pictures in your other thread and then I saw this one with your other stuff. Myers and Freddy are my 2 favorites. Your Jason is creepy too. Good stuff.

Hi Mama4Horror, I love your screen name, LOL and welcome to the boards here. Thanks for checking my stuff out. There will be lots more to come so keep stopping by. Myers and Freddy are 2 of my personal favorites as well. I also love others like Jason, Pinhead, Leatherface and so on. I just love horror in general and you will find a lot of stuff here that you will enjoy if you have the same interest.

Hey Joe thanks, and yes I can tell you like Jason as well from your avatar along with your customs. Hey by the way, I love your more recent pictures of Jason in your other thread. They are great. How many customs have you done all together?

I've only done a few from scratch. I would say maybe 3 or 4 by now. However for re-paints and kitbashing, which is a term they use here for creating something or improving something by using different figures or parts elsewhere, I have done many of those through the years. I started with doing Hasbro Star Wars customs and it grew from there. If you look back through this thread, you can see many of them that I have done in the past.

Since I never posted my newest version of my Jason 8 over here and have been advised by a few members that I should, here ya go.

^^^ I think that's my favorite custom of yours.

And this picture is beautiful:

Thanks Maglor. I always enjoy your input from the photography point of view. I never am quite sure which one you will pic as a favorite. You have a keen eye for certain pics and why you choose them. It's interesting to see your choices.

Re: Joebizz34's Customs, Re-Paints and Kitbashing

Ok I might as well add these here as well. Here are some updated pics of my part 6. These have been posted a while back in my other thread but never here. I weathered the pants and ripped the bottoms just like in the movie. I also adjusted the eye holes a bit more to be slightly more round.

Re: Joebizz34's Customs, Re-Paints and Kitbashing

Wow really impressive. I agree with that other member's post Maglor about your Jason 8. He is not my favorite horror character but he is your best custom I see here. I really like your Part 6 as well. Amazing detail. Your photography is well done too that makes your figures look even better with the low lighting you use. I'm going to check out your other thread as well to see more of your Part 6 pics. What amazes me the most about your re-paints like Freddy and Jason 6 is that you didn't change anything out like the body or the clothing. It is impressive that you can make it look so much better using the original stuff the figure came with out of the box. That is talent.

Re: Joebizz34's Customs, Re-Paints and Kitbashing

Hey Mama, LOL that sounds funny to say.... Thanks again for your nice feedback. I appreciate it.

Everyone here has their own nitch. Some are known for sculpting and others for kitbashing. Then you have some who are best known for their paint work. Since I've been here I have tried doing a little of all these type of work to see where I get the most satisfaction from. Sculpting is a lot of work and can be very frustrating but extremely rewarding when you get it right. However like my feelings were for the older Hasbro figures of the past, there is a lot of good stuff released by these toy companies. However due to cost and high volume of the product they want to produce, the end result is always lacking in one way or another. I always enjoy turning something average into something that looks one of a kind. I think that after doing this type of work for a long time now and even way before I joined here, I am finding that my nitch is the re-paints. I have the most fun turning these manufactured figures into what I hope to be considered gems. I get great joy out of seeing the transformation. Like you said it is also cool and challenging to try to do it without replacing any of the parts whether it be the body or the clothing. It just further proves that the potential is there on it's own if you take the time to discover it and bring it out to the forefront.

Re: Joebizz34's Customs, Re-Paints and Kitbashing

Well I took a short break from Jason to re-paint a SS Freddy but now I'm back on my mission to do a custom Jason from each sequel. Here is my New Blood Jason done from a Sideshow one that I re-painted his head and body along with the mask. I also dyed his clothes along with further ripping them in a more realistic way and weathered them up. I did add a little extra sculpting to the face to make it more meaty and give it more detail of rotting skin. Then I re-painted the whole head to blend it all in with better coloring and weathering. I also added a little more sculpting to the mask to extend it out a little and work on that rotting cut off area. I'm pretty happy with the end result. The one thing that happened was one of the straps broke off the mask on the side where the mask is damaged. At first I was going to repair it but when I put it on like that I kind of liked it like that. It gives him more of that beat up look so I left it as is for now. Here are some pics.
