The temptation was never really there for me but congrats to those who got one or both of them, I would love for Iminime to do an Andy and Red from Shawshank redemption, because we know how well they can do a freeman now.

Surprised the Freeman is still available but the Mills has sold out. Mills is a great figure but Somerset is an exceptional figure.

I think I got my order in just under the wire based on Denny's response to my e-mail (still waiting for the invoice to know for sure!). I kept procrastinating, but couldn't resist at the end of the day. A great movie, and great characters, done masterfully by the looks of the prototypes. And for not much more than what Hot Toys figures are going for nowadays. . .

It's been said before but Freeman is iminime's best work ever. It's also by far the most realistic black man head sculpt I've ever seen. Hot Toys never seems to get the tonality and skin finish right in their black sculpts, like the Sam Jacksons etc. they just look fake. But Imimime pulled off something so realistic here.

Amen to that brother. No disrespect but have you seen Cheung's sculpt of Michael Jai White? Looks nothing like him and your right about paint tones as well.

Glad I picked up a set. Would also love to see a Shawshank set. Id be all over that as well especially at the pricing of the Sev7n set.

Actually that is very disrespectful omega145, and simply not true. His Gambol looks very much like MJW and the paint-up is superb, especially for what he charges. How else do you explain how so many people ordered from him?! I guess we are all blind

No offense but I could care less about my credibility on this site or what you think of me.

The likeness of a sculpt is usually subjective but I dont see that at all in the MJW sculpt and I was comparing something like this to what Denny and Iminime has done which is damn near perfection on the likeness to the Sev7n characters.

Anyway back to the topic at hand, have my order in and cant wait to see them in person.

I agree that the Morgan Freeman is a near perfect likeness and that the Gambol MJW is not the same level, but to suggest the MJW sculpt looks 'nothing like him' I think is quite harsh. Likeness is subjective yeah but that just doesn't make any sense to me, just looking at simply features like the nose, the lips, the eyes, the brows, there's plenty of likeness there IMO.

But whatever. Moving on.

I actually think it's a great sculpt.

As mentioned you also have to remember the prices and that it's been mentioned the Freeman head wont be sold alone.
