I MEANNNNNNNN the snder bros exist lol. And people HATED those movies when they first came out now you have group that thinks it's a "Masterpiece" and on par with Lord of the rings.

I feel like sometimes people will look for things that aren't there sometimes and say something is genius when it's really bad story telling. I see people do it for TLJ and also for this film. There are already people saying how amazing it is. However it's a select few.

I also wanted to add I predicted people turning on the MCU. I knew people were going to crap on it soon. It was only a matter of time before it happened.

batman and robin

Howard the duck

Catwoman.

a lot of bad movies like SHOWGIRLS get cult status and get fandoms
but movies like Howard the duck just fail and die out.
there's no cult fandom for Catwoman
Batman and Robin bounced back just a tad tho. And so did Batman Forvever. Nostalgia factor I suppose. I like bits and pieces from them but I still think they suck and I grew up with them.

Seeing alot of Batman forever and Batman and robin toys coming out lately.

Human nature. Happens in all things. Build it up, then break it down. Create/destroy. Sex/Death.

That's all there is in life.

Now... you too can predict the future.

One day, they will poopoo Taylor Swift. If she lives long enough.

I wonder, was a Gaga figure possibly in the works from HT. I'm sure it's likely scrapped by now if it was.

lol nobody wants that now. And it's sad cause again she would of made a damn good Harley. But her character in the movie is absolute ass.

I'll take an officer Mad Eye mooney though with thrust action.

And like clockwork, in 10-15 years, we'll start seeing posts from people titled:

"Why Joker 2 is actually a marvelous film that didn't deserve the hate"

With 3,000 up votes, 700+ comments defending it and will then be considered a cult classic that only "real fans" understand.

Tell me I'm wrong.
You're wrong.

Joker 2 is just miserable, dull, and pointless

But it's audience will inevitably grow and expand. As time moves on, Todd Phillips' incarnation of Joker 1 and Joker 2 will reasonate with more and more people, particularly young men, on a very personal level. It will look like empathy. There are some heavy discussion points and themes regarding mental health in Joker 2, but moreso on the trouble point with Maladaptive Daydreaming.

Don't get me wrong, from an industry standpoint and a screen writing standpoint, Joker 2 has some serious and major structural flaws in terms of narrative. But there's a lingering question if Todd Philips would be received differently if this film came out 5-8 years from now instead of in 2024. I am firmly in the camp, and always will be, that a high level creative should never build a TV series or film around a "message" that lectures the audience. Tries to shame them. Tries to corner them. But I can't escape the feeling that Joker 2 might end up being revisited like the 2011 Soderbergh film Contagion was in 2019. Not being seen later as a "great film" but that it saw some things coming that were openly dismissed in a previous time.

Sometimes, down the road, things aren't seen as "better", just more sobering. Maybe even more self aware.
