It was hard for me to accept him as a tough guy when TLW just came out because shortly before that movie, he was in DragonHeart as an almost comedic sidekick role, great in it, but I love that movie and that role left such a mark, I kept seeing him on screen instead of Roland, but in my older years I've been able to separate the two.

That's really silly of you. :lol

Reminds me of when I saw "Van Helsing" on a big screen.
David Wenham was so great as Carl, I didn't even get that it was our bad ass Faramir.

Wow, and then from Faramir to a ripped member of Leonidas' army in 300, he's really evolved over film.

So, this may sound weird...but JW2 actually feels like a sequel to a sequel...where the other feel like a sequel to the original?
I dunno...does that make sense?

I puts it down another notch to me....

Jurassic Park and Jurassic World were on Isla Nublar. TLW and JP3 took place on Isla Sorna.

They did plan on having animatronic dinosaurs in their dinosaur movie, right?

You can literally watch TLW and JP3 right after JW and the events that play out would make complete sense. JW was a huge, huge disappointment for me. I know we have to "suspend our disbelief" when watching movies but training Raptors is up there as the most stupidest things in cinema next to “Ratatouille” where pulling hair on your head enables the movement of your limbs.

It would have been more realistic in JW if one of the attractions in the Park was training Raptors reflecting on LIONS & TIGERS in a circus or Vegas. For Military purposes was hard to swallow!!

Uhhhh the most animatronics of any JP movie to date.

I had so many issues with JW so I don't have high hopes for this one but still want to see it. The bedroom scene looked like a nightmare sequence I wonder if the dino is really there and they are doing a Lost World thing bringing the dinos back to the mainland after rescuing them.

I'm hoping they let Claire be a little more awesome in this one. It felt like her integrity was undercut throughout the movie because they wanted her to be an ocd "old Hollywood" looking character and when she saved Owen from the flying dino not 2 minutes later the kids are like "No we meant we want to stay with Owen" and then continue to cheer for him throughout the finale. I don't need the movie to tell me Owen is "badass" we can see it. I would have loved to see Claire in a safari outfit running around kicking butt instead of Owen.

I’m not sure what people are expecting or hoping for from this movie or sequels in general, I thought The Lost World and Jurassic World had solid ideas for something we haven’t seen yet, the original told the story of trying to build a park and it failing, the second dealt with what happens when these extinct creatures are let loose to establish their own ecosystem and the flaws in trying to bring such creatures out of their own world and into our, Jurassic World gave us what it would be like to make a park that works. Now we have the issue of what does humanity do about extinct animals existing solely for entertainment through lab genetics being in danger of a natural disaster that would wipe them out.

For the most part I didn’t feel like Jurassic World catered to the low denominator masses, it may have focused on action more than character but that’s pretty much every sequel in this franchise.

It almost seems like some feel of a sequel isn’t at the level of the original it’s not worth existing.

But muh childhood! :panic:

No disrespect to Pratt and Howard..they are good actors, but did anyone think these two characters didn’t need to be in the sequel to JW. I think they could’ve gotten a new set of different characters to be in this. :lecture
