So hands up how many of you knew there was a Deep Blue Sea 2 coming out? It's straight to DVD/Blu-ray. :lol

I remember a few Jurassic World reviews that described the plot as like a sequel to Deep Blue Sea (with Raptors instead of sharks).:lol

It even has the same plot lol

... which is appropriate in a thread about a sequel to Jurassic World (which had pretty much the same plot as Jurassic Park 1 right down to the scientist who doesn't like kids.):lol

Deep blue sea is weird. it's one of those movies that was popular when it came out but as time went on people didn't like it but if you mention it people have fond memories of it lol

It was stupid fun....that kinda film eventually you drop the fun part....

Just went to Rotten Tomatoes and the first Deep Blue Sea actually has a FRESH rating under "Top Critics.":horror:lol

But yeah I can see why they did a sequel (1m views in 10 days) And compared to the normal Syfy Channel linked sequels, DBS 2 actually looks decent and watchable - try to watch even the trailer for those Anaconda and Lake Pliacid (and Anaconda Vs Lake Pliacid) sequels.:monkey4

It's called getting older, brah.:lol

I'm more anxious watching the dinos fall into the ocean to drown than the potential danger to the human characters, lol. And I'm not even one of those "animal people".

I remember enjoying JW a little more when viewing the I-Rex as a Frankenstein character. She didn't choose to be created, was raised in isolation, and is just freaking out over what's going on. Makes me sad when the Mososaur deus-ex-machina'd her.

Granted JW was probably the first movie I was so frustrated with that I wanted to get a screenplay copy and rewrite the heck out of it.

I just hated the way the I Rex looked. I hated the white color. it looked ugly (Not ugly in a cool way or a scary way, but ugly in a bland way)
the design of the creature was kinda cool but the color ruins it for me. I wish it was blue or grey or something

whoever chose that color did a horrible job. it might seem as a dumb complaint but I really really hated seeing the I Rex in the movie. it looked weak and sickly

It could have been way worse.

Both are still more attractive than Grace, though.

I didn't like the look at first either but I think it would've been a little better with practical effects. I don't even count the raptors because even though they are dudes in suits they overlay it with so much CGI it might as well be CGI from the beginning.

Now if they can only avoid the flub where the I-Rex just disappears behind the car when it's head should *clearly* be visible. I can't unsee it *shakes fist at screen*

The dino in the girl's room looks like the shrunken I-Rex the Hoskins guy mentioned in JW.

I just hope they don't kill off Rexy. She's getting on a bit now, needs to settle down and find herself a male sugar Rexy that can knock her up and put some babies in her. :lol

After JP 3, I doubt we ever see Rex die and if we do, it will not be the only one or the last one, or it'll be a worthy death scene.
