Re: Jurassic World

I foresee one of the genetically enhanced dinosaurs escaping the island, multiplying, and slowly taking over the world in the sequels.

And then of course, we get a Dinosaurs vs Apes film.

Perfect segue into a new franchise:

Re: Jurassic World

I dont care I love this trailer. looks so good. im tired of the same complaint that the old dinosaurs looked better. I mean they werent on screen for a long amount of time and they used puppets so of course it looks a bit better

Agreed, doesn't look that bad

there's only 1, a SHE.
she goes boomboom with T-rex and kills him post coitus. it will end with baby muta-dino hatching.

:goodpost: this

The trailer has me very excited about seeing this. I agree that they have perhaps shown a bit too much of the story, but that is an unfortunate trend with modern movie trailers. Also, we all knew roughly how this was going to turn out anyway. Park full of dinosaurs opens, hundreds of tourists enter, something goes wrong, cue chaos.

Joss Whedon criticises Jurassic World clip for '70s-era' sexism | Film | The Guardian

I'm beginning to see why Marvel asked the Russo Bros to make the next Avengers film. If you want to talk about issues facing women, there's things going on in places like Darfur and Somalia that honestly make me lose sleep at night. The possibility that a movie might be 'sexist' based on thirty seconds of unfinished footage on the other hand, doesn't.

Considering the early reports from AoU that there's a surprising amount of gratuitous Black Widow fanservice/sideboob, in about a week's time we may see him publicly eviscerated by the sharktank he's chosen to dive into.

Anyway, before this drifts off-topic - he mentioned 70's and that's exactly the vibe I get from this - a 70's disaster movie with modern special effects. Seems to be a nimble fusion of some of Crichton's earlier novels like Westworld and classic Jurassic Park.

Re: Jurassic World

I really hated that scene because of the terrible dialogue and the cliche " we went on one date" thing they were going for
but if anything that scene makes the guy look like a total ******, if anything it is making the Man look like a childish jerk, she is serious and cold, and a scientist. I really do not get how in the world he could see the sexism in it seeing how she is shown as the mature and smart one

Re: Jurassic World

I can't believe they lead with the sex joke in the trailer. :lol

and.. it doesn't work! falls flat.. the rest is fun though, lovely to see some actual blood in a dinosaur movie trailer.
Those spikey new scary dinos look appropriately spikey and dino-ish.
