Re: Jurassic World

I hope you guys are joking. You do recognize "plants" don't you?

Probably Spielberg's publicist just making sure people remember that Jurassic Park is still Spielberg's baby. The entire "story" is clearly informational.

Re: Jurassic World

It's actually not that clear-cut. Yes it would seem absurd to believe that anyone could not be aware that they are looking at a famous movie director sitting in front of an animatronic, fake, long extinct animal, so yes the whole thing could be a joke..but then again - creationists :lol

That may indeed be the very brilliance of it.

The woman is a famous, well-established author and academic. Absolutely not a plant, and certainly not prone to being used to promote popcorn movies. :lol

She is apparently known for her very dry wit, so it's a toss up. But I'm of the mind that, unless she's just crazy with bad eyes, she made a joke. Now she's sitting back enjoying the internet firestorm and outrage. :lol

Pretty sure that's an old story. That went around Instagram and Twitter almost a year ago, if not longer.

edit - Last July.

A Whole Bunch Of People On Facebook Thought Steven Spielberg Killed A Real Dinosaur

This particular tweet is new.

Re: Jurassic World

Despite how cool and redeeming it would be for the T-Rex to kill the I-Rex, I never thought it made much sense. The I-Rex was designed to be bigger and badder than the T-Rex, how on Earth would the T-Rex stand a chance against it? If it's true that the Mosasaurus kills it, that makes a lot more sense as it's really the only thing on the island big enough to do so.

Re: Jurassic World

Despite credits and promo materials that state otherwise, the main character of Jurassic World is not the swashbuckling, macho, ex-military Velociraptor trainer Owen Grady, played by Pratt. It is Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard), the park operations manager. Claire is so careerist, unfeeling, and apparently “unmaternal” that she clacks her heels around barking orders in bangs and a white pantsuit, and when her two young nephews (Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins) arrive on the scene, she’s so buried in her work mobile that she shoos them away.

Sounds like every woman of today's world... I don't see how that's sexist... You want to run the park baby, go ahead... Muldoon going sip tea on the porch as you **** up. :lol

Re: Jurassic World

That first review posted above doesn't even talk about dinosaurs. I think he missed the point. :lol
