Re: Jurassic World

That doesn't sound too good.

Once you get over the initial idea of the D-Rex as long as it works well in the story and is portrayed right on screen than hopefully it's OK. There's bigger things that concern me more about the movie, such as:

- The overuse of CGI dinosaurs and lack of animatronics used on set.
- Very little T-Rex screen time?...
- The human/raptor 'team' up.
- Will we see a T-Rex or raptor eat or kill anyone?...

Exactly.
Making a hybrid just for the sake of it isn't something extreme for the setting of JP.

primal rage would make such an awesome movie. Seriously it was kick ass back in the 90s
Absolutely!
I've quite a few ideas for a live action movie based on Urth concept.
Too bad I'm sitting on them in Russian :lol

Re: Jurassic World

The D-Rex as a concept is something that's not that crazy. We've had hybrid dinosaur toys since Chaos Effect in like 97. The fear is just about how it will be used/look. So far the look isn't horrible, but the context will make all the difference.

Re: Jurassic World

Maybe I'm being too hard on this new dino. It stands to reason that greedy executives and soulless investors would do whatever it took, no matter how irresponsible, to keep the park packed. Why not create the most compelling and, dangerous, dino that ever lived?

But yeah, it better look cool. ;)

Re: Jurassic World

I can't remember, was the Spinosaurus killed in 3?

No, the Spino ran off into the woods after the river fire.

The fact that
Owen will use his 'trained' raptors to help take down the D-Rex makes me thing that it will most likely end up dead by the end of the movie. Or a T-Rex may take it down at the end...

:dunno

Re: Jurassic World

I really hope that Raptor stuff isn't true. Would be really lame imo.

I wonder if they will discuss what's happened to Site B.

Re: Jurassic World

The Raptor stuff is happening. It just depends in what context, I don't think it will be as cheesy as it sounds. Owen (Pratt) is doing behavioural research on the raptors and the leaked trailer is believed to end with Owen saying 'we do it my way' with a Raptor attacking the D-Rex or something like that. It's all rumours based on here-say at the mo...

Re: Jurassic World

While I still believe there's an excellent chance this movie will bomb, when it premieres it will have been, what, 14 years since the last JP movie? I'm sure there's a lot of little kids who want to see the Scary Dino Movie.

Plus, there's the nostalgia-driven Gen Xers and Millennials to consider. It could surprise, even with a budget of $150 million.

Re: Jurassic World

Dinos are still relevant thanks to Walking With Dinosaurs, both the live shows and movies. I don't think there is much chance this will bomb even if it's not great.
