I've got summond about 6 times , but since i was a bad ass kid , i had a juvenile record , and i never had to go .:yess:

yes even know i was over 18 they still brought up Juvy stuff :gah:

I was almost picked for a jury once...When the Judge asked if I had any problem with the case I said "HANG'EM HIGH!"

I was dismissed with no meal.

lol.gif

never got selected yet (knock on wood) but if/when i do, i'll just tell them i am biased to get out of there.

Never been called either... I assume if I am I will be honest with my views (not a fan of death penalties, ect.) and will likely not be called back :lol

I was released from duty this week. I sat thru over 2 hours of interviews then realized I was really good friends with the defendants father. I've only met his son a couple times briefly so it took a while before I remembered him. Very embarassing. :lol

I've been called, but didn't get selected.

It was a long process, but really not bad. I got a day off of work paid, and just read a book for about four hours. Then they called about a dozen of us in, told us we could go, and that was that.

:exactly: I'm on roll call for the next month and a half so I'm sure I'll be on a jury eventually.

Vader shelf you say? It's in the works. I'm really looking forward to seeing this one installed. Now if that extra day per week I ordered would just get here...:D
That's the last of my promised but not yet paid for projects I need to get finished (as long as Chase has forgotten about that sword hanger:)).

that's not embarassing at all........................now if you were the kid's father & didn't realize until after 2 hours of interviews then yes..........quite embarassing...........:wink1:

I've been called to jury duty at least three times (and I'm only 22) but I've been able to get out of all of them by calling and telling them I'm a student and could not miss class. Honestly, one day I do hope to go and get selected. I think it'd be fascinating.

Don't worry... I at least am holding that Utapau Trooper as collateral, that is if you were still wanting him. We discussed that part of it a long ass time ago :lol

I wouldn't mind it if I got my gas paid for and my food and parking. They only buy you lunch if you're sequestered. I get paid from work and $10 from the court, but that doesn't cover it at all.

Anyone do grand jury duty? I heard that was awful!

Definitely still want the clone trooper. :rock

That wouldn't have gotten you off here. The judge let very few off and being a student wasn't one of the reasons that would work.

It wasn't a listed as a "reason" I could get out of it, either, but calling and explaining worked for me every time. Sometimes they will just move your summons to a time when school is not in session.

I actually interned at a court house last Summer and they absolutely don't give a crap if you don't show up. At least in my county. :lol
