Anyway, I was 12 years old and in a HARDWARE store during the Loma Prieta quake of 89. Let me tell you, running down the lightbulb aisle was one exciting moment I'll never forget.

The cleanup needed in that store was AMAZING.

Every summer there are pretty major flash floods, the ground being what it is any real rain (esp the "monsoons") cause issues.
