I hope everything works out for you, Jase. Always have the seller check an item before shipping. But on the bright side, he can't threaten to leave you a negative feedback even if you file a complaint.:D

:lol That's true, he can't!

Just to be clear, I did ask him to check it before shipping. He said it was mint. :monkey4

maybe a couple of scratches to him is considered "mint"?

That's why I always ask the seller if there are any scratches, paint chip, etc...to be more specific than just "mint".

I have a feeling the seller knew about it, but just told you "mint". There are TOO many shady people on ebay.

I personally don't know anything about paint, but try contacting Ghettoenhanced. He's member here and on Statue Forum and he's very good at repaints.

Thanks! I already contacted the seller but haven't heard back from him. I went ahead and opened a PayPal dispute but haven't escalated it to a claim yet. I just wanted the seller to know that I'm serious. The thing that sucks is that if I return it to him, I'm out the shipping costs both ways....and this thing is heavy. :monkey4

Nah, I think if you open claim and win, you end up returning iterm on your dime, but get full initial amount refunded (including shipping).

It is Memorial Day weekend...might want to give him the benefit of the doubt cause he may have gone out-of-town.

Especially if he has a good ebay rep.

Yep, that's why I haven't escalated it to a claim. I've found that just opening a dispute with PayPal gets things moving a lot quicker.

I just got the exclusive iron man comiquette, well just bought it on ebay and haven't recieved yet, but I had the seller email me more pictures before I sent payment. The reason behind that is because I almost bought a knockoff a few months back and I was able to tell by the pictures the seller sent me...Needless to say he is no longer a member to ebay. As far as this purchas I hope once I recieve mine everything is ok and it is an authentic statue...I do have the stealth version and had to send him back to ss for the paint issues. Got the replacement in and it is good. Anyway good luck with your situation. If I happen to be in the same boat when I get the exclusive one in I'll have some questions to ask you. I've never had to go about filing a claim...anyhow please let me know how it works out for you.....

The problem with the LSB Ironman was the hard plastic shell pieces they had on his torso to "protect it."

i wonder why they would put the hard plastic to protect a statue
im glad they didnt do that with the hulk LSB. i got mine in mint condition

I thought this was me for a second :). I just sold mine about a week ago since I couldn't justify having the same sculpt with the upcoming stealth variant. I was up front about the paint scuffs from the plastic guards though.

It's really a shame most of these were damaged by poor shipping. I hope they don't go 3 for 3 with the upcoming stealth LSB. lol

my lsb ex im is at the centerpiece of my im display along with a mint sim. when i received the lsb, it was perfect, while most were complaining of damage or paint rub because of the plastic on the chest.

if i remember correctly, people had a lsb they needed to return because of damage but sideshow said they probably wouldn't get a replacement because of limited amounts, but shortly thereafter, they put the im lsb up on their site as a second chance. many people were pissed at that.

my IM LSB has a couple of scuffs but only seen up close and this is the only "flawed" piece that i've kept just because of its awesomeness.

I'll probably keep this one as well....I've given the seller an option to give me a partial refund due to the damage. The small paint chip is something I can fix...not sure what I can do with the scuffs, which like you said, can only be seen up close. Otherwise it is an awesome piece.

So the seller finally responded and of course he knows nothing about any scuffs or the paint chip. He's trying to blame the Post Office for the damage. He wants me to take pictures of how the plastic tray can cause scuffing. WTF ever. He's an idiot. Maybe he works for Sideshow and was the one that decided to use those damn trays to begin with! :duh

I told him I would keep the bust if he issued a partial refund or that I would return it and he would have to issue a full refund. He said that he wouldn't issue a partial refund because this isn't his problem. Oh yes it is his problem....
