I like the TDK suit. But it should be obvious it will not return in the future.

I think his new suit should be constructed like Superman's. It seems pretty mobile for the wearer and could give people something close to a comic-accurate suit without looking lame.

The details on the body could be similar to the Arkham Asylum/City suit to give it an armored look.

That emphasizes how hideous the TDK costume is.

Something like this would be much better (including the tweak to Supes' suit):

Agreed - I can't stand that suit. :monkey4 :lol

I like how they (you?) photo shopped the Avengers Cap suit for Batman there - works really well actually.

I was going to say is that a shot of Captain America from Avengers just photoshopped. Looks really great and shows how a fabric costume could work on screen. I loved TDK costume and the Begins costume and the Burton costumes, but I'd love to finally get something more comic accurate and fabric. Something like that would look awesome.

i like the Man of Steel Suit as is, but if they take it more in the direction of the New 52 comic version I would not be upset. The Batsuit needs to look like the Arkham City version. That is the best "real world" interpretation so far.

:goodpost: Great idea and I agree 100%

Going for the Superman shirt reveal. Comes of kinda sexist :lol
Why is it sexist? Because it's sexy? I don't know they can avoid the sexy costume with Wonder Woman, but I'm all for woman's equality and whatnot if they can. Maybe get a middle aged, average bodied woman to wear a nice pantsuit made out of "Unstable Molecules".

It does a little. I wouldn't introduce the whole Diana Prince Secret Identity yet. I would just let her be Wonder Woman, Princess of the Amazons, and Ambassador of Peace from the Isle of Themisceryia(sp?). Just let her be Diana for a bit. She's not like Clark who wants a life outside of Superman, or Batman who needs the Bruce Wayne cover. She should just be herself. And maybe at some point later adopt the secret identity.

I reckon if they do go ahead with WW - it'll fail.

None - & I mean NONE, of the suggestions I've seen here so far, sell the character properly.

Kate Beckinsale? Jessica Beil? That chick from the busted pilot? Kick boxer chicks? :slap :lol

She's gonna be like Green Lantern; impossible to do justice to properly, especially when they end up completely miscasting her. :lol

Well I think folks are just speculating on what they know best based on what they've seen. I agree that no one I am familiar with has the looks, physical ability, and personality/acting skills to pull off my ideal WW.

I don't think Hal Jordan would have been hard at all to do justice. Just cast Chris Pine! But that didn't happen :(

I would cast the lady who played Faora. She pulled off the badass warrior part perfectly. You are never going to find a human built like Diana and a capable actress. Go for the actress and make her look credible in the fight scenes. You're right none of those are right for the role. Find an unknown or not big star.

GL was hurt because the idiots over thought the premise and made it way more complicated than needed. They are Space cops. Make Training Day in Space: Sinestro = Denzel's character. Once you leave earth do not go back until the end of the film.

It was so much easier back in the golden age of comics - Chris Reeve & Lynda Carter WERE those characters. Lou Ferrigno, Nicholas Hammond etc.. :lol

Since then - society & culture have gone through an enormous shift in what is considered good pop entertainment, what can pass as credible - & finding solid actors that can adapt to those factors.

I haven't seen MOS yet - but it's pretty apparent that Cavill nailed it. The foundation at least has been laid - but where to now?

I'm expecting another Batman reboot.. then more Supes, then rinse / repeat. :lol

Well it's obvious that comics and comic movies have changed, but there could still be a place for quaint, even smart throwbacks to the silver age (look no further than Alan Moore's Supreme--would LOVE to see a movie version of Superman like that). But step 1 is making the audience understand that the reality portrayed there is not the same as the reality we live in. And I think an audience could go for that, but I'm not sure movie execs are willing to take that risk.

Oh I agree!

You know.. it may just come down to your last sentence there, more than anything else. Beyond Bruce & Clark, they probably don't see any other character as bankable anymore - even if for a time, they may have.

They've lost a lot of momentum too - & Marvel's running rings around them in the process. It would be so incredible to see Flash, Green Lantern, Black Canary - all those guys in all their glory. It just seems way too hard for them at this point.

Instead of just competing with Marvel at what, frankly, Marvel was always better at--putting its characters in a realistic setting (that distinguished Marvel in the early '60s)--maybe WB could carve out a niche for itself as a more fantastic alternative. People could still be relatable of course, but the cynicism, grittiness, and darkness could be toned down. They could embrace things like Kandor in a bottle, teen sidekicks, multiple earths (Earth 2, Earth-3, Earth-S, etc.), Superman really could be the perfect ideal, etc. In my dreams. . .

Or maybe DC could try and distinguish itself by not even doing a Justice Leauge movie. Lets be honest here, its obviously just an attempt to copy the success of The Avengers, and any character besides Batman and Superman really doesn't have that much potential for drawing in the general public. Maybe DC coulld do something a bit different in the same vein. Specifically a Batman/Superman team up movie.
