Cumberbatch is a serviceable actor, but I think he would be a pretty horrible Batman the more I try to imagine it. If you want him to play a DC superhero detective in the Justice League, then why not cast him as Elongated Man.

I'm down. Idris is the man. I wasn't feeling the idea of a black James Bond...but I'd be so down if he gets the part.
Just curious CP, what changed your mind about Idris as Bond. I always kind of liked the idea, but realize it won't happen if for no other reason than his age. If Craig is signed for 2 more films, and assuming a 2 year gap between. Idris would be well into his 40s.

I honestly think that would be a better choice than nu-Sherlock Holmes. Apart from skin color, I think he could pull off Batman and Wayne very well. But in terms of guys from the Wire, McNulty could also work.

I don't know that I could see McNulty playing Batman. I have an easier time seeing Idris than him. i am going to recommend James Purefoy for the role of Bruce.

Out of left field Casting.

Cameo by Golden age green lantern Alan Scott... Played By William shatner.

Mandy Patinkin As Hugo Strange

....
....
...

Leonardo DiCaprio As Batman/Bruce Wayne

OR

William Defoe as Batman

Tyler Perry As Cyborg.

Jeff Bridges as Vandal Savage

Ashton Kutcher As the Flash/ Barry Allen

Benidict Cumberbatch, As Aquaman/ Arthur

I wish Cyborg would stay far, far away from these movies, too. God what a lame, boring character. But... he'll be there, probably before Martian Manhunter, dammit.

FU, Didio/Lee/Johns! :cuss

I'm actually a big Cyborg fan, but the Marv Wolfman variety. He was an interesting character that had lots of baggage due to his prosthetics, eventually finding a place working with disabled kids. I have no idea what he is doing nowadays, though I've read about how little respect those guys have for other Titans now like Starfire and Speedy.

I'm fine with Cyborg being in the DC Film Universe at some point, so long as he joins it as a member of the Titans, if we ever get that far, and he isn't replacing J'onn.

cant wait for a justice league movie ill see it in theatres, but we don't know who's playing any of the characters, but i hope henry cavill plays superman like he did in the new man of steel and the next man of steel movies. We still don't know anything about this movie. :gah:

.

Er, I just wasn't down for a black version of the character. It just felt odd. But then again, when that rumor popped up, Alba wasn't as of a big name as he is now.

I can totally buy it.

We've had wonderful normal sized thespians play him, now it's time for a bruiser.
Sounds like a job for Vinnie Jones:

:lol

I mean people want to cast Cumberbatch, Fassbender, Hiddleston, et al. in everything now. Meh.
I've gone along with the 'Fass for everything' joke.. because it's funny. :lol

That said, he WOULD make an exceptional Green Lantern - & I'll keep flying the flag for him too. :rock

He's a member of the Justice League.
