Kamen Rider: The First

Had a brief exchange with Rhodes about this figure on another thread. So I busted him out of his box. I've had him for a few months, but never had time to mess with him.

I think the craftsmanship on him is excellent. Of course - I ended up modifying his base body a bit to give him a little more stature (shoulders, chest, stomache, shoulder blades, buttocks, and crotch).

The detailing on his leather suit is amazing.

Did find any postings around him so I thought I'd post some pics of him to show the love:

Yup - he's by Medicom. I think he's the best figure Medicom made this year. There's a V2 of coming out in December. You can only get it by mailing in a coupon included with the purchase of this figure. And they will only ship to an address in Japan.

I went through a friend in Japan to get both figures.

They cost about $150 to $170.

Did you also modify yours a bit? I found the figure to be a bit too skinny (for my taste). Especially the shoulders and shoulder blade area. Your pic of him with the HT stand - he looks really good.

Yups. Hence - why I feel the Medicom BB has the better outfit than the HT and Tak

I didn't make any mod on the First body, but only make it a bit taller because he shd be taller than No.2. I try to make it more in scale.

It was so easy to mod him because all you need is to insert some foam into his jacket. So I didn't have to do any cutting or gluing - which is ideal.

I take it that you have No. 2 ordered?

We def need to have a thread for it when it comes out - gotta represent KR on this board. hehe

I'm not a fan of the Kamen Riders, but they're costumes and designs are so cool... I grew up differently, but if I grew up living in the asian countries I am 100% sure I would have been a Kamen Fan... and how Medicom makes the costumes... they actually look 1:1...

You can start watch KR TV series now. New Kabuto series is pretty fun to watch, and the story development is good, too. I like story of Kabuto more than GoGo sentai

KG: Do you have any of the 1/6 Scale Kamen cycles? I always see them for way too much money.
