Customs have become my real focus in this hobby, and I have started taking on more and more of these efforts myself. So, here is where I will post such things.

Rocco's Ash I painted (on a body I got already weathered from K. Bowen):

Still need some of this fancy glossy stuff folks use on eyes and blood.

Rocco's Slimer I painted:

:D

and my full Ghostbusters set up with a mix of Rocco and Snyder-Man heads painted by Cheungkinmen and Skiman, outfits dyed and put together by myself:

Currently working on Rocco's Walter, Ray (trying another one myself) and the Dude, and Snyder-Man's Deckard.

Nice man... really dig that Slimer. Wish it'd been cheaper, but just couldn't drop $200 on a sculpt :lol

Thanks fellas. I know these are a bit crude by some of the amazing work we see here routinely, but as I was telling Galactiboy recently, there is a really rewarding feeling to doing something on your own. And I'm learning more about this as I do more work, so hopefully I can keep improving.

It is rewarding and honestly you learn something new with each repaint. I also find it encouraging sometimes to look at my favorite painters and customizers earlier work. It's still usually really good, but you can see how people got to where they are through doing more and more work.

Yeah, I was following Skiman basically from the beginning, and even though his early work (some of which I own) was quite good, the evolution of his abilities was really something. Seems some guys like JOhnny were born with it, though. And I hate those guys :cuss :D

On that subject, any suggestions on good, really fine bristled brushes. I've been using some pretty small ones, but they aren't small enough to get some of the detail I've seen elsewhere.

:exactly:Totally agree, most of the figures I own are OOAK kitbashes and not sure if it's because of the love I have for the characters or the fact that I put them together myself but they do have a special place in my heart and I feel they are like an extension of myself, most them lack the refinement and fine tuning touches that some excell at but it really is quite rewarding owning something you did and it actually not looking like crap, especially when you get a genuine sincere compliment.

hey kaz, really nice bro, love the ash, and you nailed the slimer :clap... keep em coming kaz.

Off to a great start buddy. That slimer really ties the set together. And that Ash makes it look like you've been painting for years.

This is that fancy gloss stuff that I use for sweat and blood. Works like a charm.
