Brandon, Nathan, swsqueakquels and Chaka, thanks so much guys! Getting into this with you dudes the past few weeks has been an INSANE amount of fun!
:1-1:

Spidey, I love you too bro! Haha
:hi5:

Mr. Predator, um- er..These aren't the droids we're looking for. Move along, move along...:rotfl

I think I can start to put kits together next week. Right after holiday insanity.

Whoa.:clap

Who would have thought the ROTJ creature shop would be recreated in 1/6 30 years later.

It will be modelling 1/6 figures on a holographic interface computer for 3D printing things from ep 7, 8 and 9 in another 30 years I hope :lol

Haha totally! Funny though, I just started messing with Z brush with hopes of 3D printing possibly. The future comes alive!:yess:

BTW, I was worried about these new additions (episodes 7-9) to my beloved Star Wars, but I'm slowly getting excited. I was hoping Whedon would direct it but we'll see what happens.

Hey dudes!

The holidays dragged me away from the workbench for a bit. :gah:

Let's just say, it's good to be back.

So a while ago I was reproducing Marmit Sandtrooper armor. I had a few pieces left in a box under my table. I got this idea from mortifactor a while ago. I glossed four sets of armor and to get the dirt effect of Tatooine, I ground up some brown pastels, put them in a bag with the freshly sprayed armor and viola! Dirty yet shiny Sandtroopers. I also put heads on these figures in case I might want to pose them w/o helmets.

I also started darkening up J'Quille's fur.

What a novel idea for painting sand troopers. Where did you come up with that?
Also are those sideshow bodies? If so what type of heads are you sticking on there? I had to cut down a perfectly good clone head to get that scout helmet on. If there was a cheaper alternative that allowed me to save a clone head I would be interested.
Thanks

Well thanks CC! I need to do some photoshop work with my guys like you do! Great stuff btw! The bodies are TTL. Mortifactor made some troopers a while back that were dirty yet had that classic Stormtrooper shine. Which makes total sense because I imagine when they were deployed their armor had to have looked good and the desert can only cake on so much dirt. I use pastels to paint highlights on my heads so it was kind of a natural conclusion. All I had to do was borrow my girlfriends Magic Bullet. Haha!

Thanks for the J'Quille love too. I wanna darken him with some black and dark brown paint tonight. Plus hands which I have in my chamber at the moment...

That's awesome! J'Quille looks like an actual living being haha. Good to see some shine on the troopers! took me a little while to figure out that's why my ssc ones looked so off to begin with lol

Excellent SandTroopers Kash. J'Quille's lookin' ****in' amzing too!! I'll try customizing just about anything, but hair, and fur? No way. Hats off to you sir. The bar is now beyond my grasp. :duff

Alex, you flatter me sir! And flattery will get you a special package in the mail. :lol Thanks my man!

Kash, good stuff. J'Quille looks fantastic. Awesome job man. Troopers look great too, well done.

This from a member of the Jedi Council of freaks? Thanks Chris!
