Re: Kato.E 1/6 Bruce Wayne Outfit Interest (3 Piece Suit / Shirt & Jeans)

I think that is the development time for the first jacket - I guess it took that long because Kato had to try a variety of materials and re-print the pattern on the cloth a few times before getting it right. Once the template is set, I imagine it takes a few hours, but maybe Kato can clarify.

I think I don't need to clarify anymore, he will never understand until he really see my outfit in hand:wave

Re: Kato.E 1/6 Bruce Wayne Outfit Interest (3 Piece Suit / Shirt & Jeans)

:lol

Well, that is the best way to explain it.
Like I said before, this level of investment in one's 1/6 figures is not something for everyone. Some people prefer to save their money and get more figures, others, prefer to have fewer figures but spend more on them to get them to a higher quality - its apples and oranges

Re: Kato.E 1/6 Bruce Wayne Outfit Interest (3 Piece Suit / Shirt & Jeans)

Look at it this way, How much does one pay for a hand made suit? Custom made for your body? $500 on the low end and the sky is the limit on the high end. The cost of the material effects the price but more so is the labor of fitting the suit itself. Making these items for a small figure is actually harder then making them for a real person. If a person is off by a 1/16 of an inch or a millimeter in real life this would be next to nothing. In this scale it will determine the difference between fitting and looking like crap. Tolerances are of the chart when working on this stuff. Creating the pattern to build from is an entirely different area of work. Its not like you can go down to the local fabric store and pick this stuff up. This takes years of practice and skill to develop a flat pattern that not only fits the figure but looks right too.

The level of skill to create what you see dictates the price and makes this area a limited market.

In the end, you get what you pay for.

Plus, being a real collector involves a lot of focus. There will be many 'temptations' along the way that might sway one from the path of collecting :lecture It has got to do with how much passionate (or obsessed) are you with something in particular. How 'many' are you willing to give up for that 'one' thing, is the question.

Re: Kato.E 1/6 Bruce Wayne Outfit Interest (3 Piece Suit / Shirt & Jeans)

I neverunderstood what this so called 'focus' thing is.

I am completly lost n DC and Marvel now.

I would love to post a pic of my Bruce with Kato shirt and Century Toys suit. Its pretty great already but the new suit will low it away. :lol

Someone know which app I need for my iphone to post pics online? Umair? :1-1: :lol

Re: Kato.E 1/6 Bruce Wayne Outfit Interest (3 Piece Suit / Shirt & Jeans)

I'm not getting this but I did buy his outfit for a certain serial killer and I gotta say that seeing is believing. It really does make THAT much difference. Pretty much let me put it this way, unless you have these clothes your figure will be lesser quality than those who do get it. I'm not getting this and I admit that. You guys up here will have a better Bruce Wayne than me. You can't compete with clothes specifically tailored and made for a certain character.

Going up on ebay or other sites to put a suit together doesn't measure up. I'm totally happy with my set of clothes I got from him.

Re: Kato.E 1/6 Bruce Wayne Outfit Interest (3 Piece Suit / Shirt & Jeans)

Your work is amazing, Kato, and that suit is fantastic; my God, it's got a better drape than most full-size suits.:lol These truly are works of art. Excellent job, all around.:clap

Re: Kato.E 1/6 Bruce Wayne Outfit Interest (3 Piece Suit / Shirt & Jeans)

I really, really, really hope it's not more than $500. I mean, wasn't the Joker around $700+ but involved more pieces and different patterns. Plus, some of us already spent some $$ on the Kato shirt and tie.

Re: Kato.E 1/6 Bruce Wayne Outfit Interest (3 Piece Suit / Shirt & Jeans)

A person shouldn't have to explain his costing. It is what it is and you have the choice to buy it or not. You get what you pay for whith Kato, or most things really.
I get this alot in business where customers want to dictate the price of something and want to sit down with you and ask your costings! If you were to say how much you think is reasonable profit one was to make on these and you was to say to the seller I comfortable with you making this much money from me after taking in account and materials and labour Ibet you will find in most cases that the price is more than what is being offered.
