I'm going to share a little comparative insight as to just how expensive these new collectible items are. It's outrageous really.

I didn't pay as much as the the exclusive version this KP set retails for, for an actual 8x10 autographed Boris Karloff photo, graded and encapsulated, that's nearly 100 years old. Modern items are way overpriced in my opinion. But hey, the dollar is deteriorating by the day. I guess it is what it is.

What set did you choose?
You can always sell the dioramas later.

To this day I regret not ordering the door that came with the Nosferatu.
I doubt I ever find it now.

I think I’m leaning towards just getting the standard when it’s available at Sideshow. The dioramas are cool, but a lot of extra cost.

Now when The Mummy comes out I’ll for sure get it with the sarcophagus. To me the Frankenstein’s castle diorama isn’t cool but not as essential necessarily.

God, I hope we get The Mummy. 🙏

I think it’s coming this year. There was an image posted on Kaustic Plastik’s Facebook page with The Mummy, Frankenstein’s monster, and the Bride. The Mummy is a personal favorite of mine.

Karloff's home movies goofing around on the set of Son of Frankenstein confirm Jack Pierce's flesh paint used on the Monster was green. How it showed on screen is ok, I reckon for folks who prefer it.

I never understood the appeal of monochromatic paint schemes. Primarily because , even though the films were not in color, it doesn't mean what was being filmed wasn't. Plus, monochromatic looks bland to me, unless it's done exceptionally well. It can be done, mind you....but as a personal preference, I prefer color.

P.S., they seem to sell better too. Here's a pic of Karloff fooling about as a reference to actual color palette.

Yeah, I prefer color too. I can always take photos in black and white using the cellphone. :)

IMO getting this figure is a no-brainer for anyone into either Horror or Classic cinema.
BUT you have to have the Lugosi Figure for a full Universal Monsters line-up.

Yeah, wishing I’d have gotten Lugosi. My thing is I’ve always been fifty-fifty on getting much into horror/monster characters. Part of me doesn’t want another line but also I sort of want some of those characters represented.

I just recently got into the NECA stuff which is a start and I suppose I could be content with just those. Just as a sixth scale collector that’s my primary focus and what I lean towards wanting.

If I hadn't already been collecting 35 years, I would wholeheartedly concur. But at 55, I kind of am outta space, and more frugal. Not saying I won't get it....but I also enjoy eating food,lol.;). That being said, I will let you know when I order the complete package, lol.

A great accessory they could include with the Bride is an alternate goofy, smiling Frankenstein head sculpt. He only ever really made that face when he was next to her
