There's always someone that gives Kevin Smith cr.ap at Comic-con. There was a deaf guy who gave him some cr.ap at that panel as well.

I love his first movies, Clerk, Mallrats both are so funny. Its to funny that people love to try and talk smack to him everywhere he goes, I think most do it to see how he will come back.

What's so great about Kevin Smith? I have seen his stuff and for the most part it's just ok but not phenomenal. He seems to have a huge following but I just don't get it. He's alright funny but really he is just your average nerd.

I feel that the question asked was valid but poorly worded. Kevin Smith hasn't had a decent movie in quite some time and he just keeps reusing all his old characters. I just don't understand why he gets so much respect.

I don't know about respect because most of the people I know could care less about him or his movies. Usually when people talk about him, it's usually in a disrespectful manner.
