I'm sure they will, I've yet to see a figure like this in the line that hasn't had really nice production paint; Plo, Kit, Sidious, Aayla looks nicely done, I could see some patterning in her tentacles in your image. Sideshow rocks the alien faces

Agreed, they really excel when it comes to aliens and faces with a lot of character.

He does look better in these photos. I'm getting more and more convinced that Sideshow doesn't know how to photograph it's own stuff. Flash photography in an environment like this shouldn't look better than something set up in a studio, but that seems to consistently be the case.

I am beyond stunned...he looks fantastic in that gallery over at RS. Dave even got a close-up of the fabrics to show the texture.

I know during the Vader-mania that's happening now that it might be sacrilegious to say this, but it's entries like this that make me hope we continue to get more aliens (be they Jedi or others) once in a while amidst the onslaught of armor coming our way. As Sean mentioned, Sideshow has always done a superb job on the aliens and creatures...and Ki looks great!

'Beyond stunned'... these are the words that I am looking for. Sideshow is fantastic when it comes to making creatures. With this kind of work, I wouldn't mind they make every alien Jedi available. Hah hah.

Any reservations I had about this figure have dissolved. He's awesome, from paint to material. Can't wait to get him and my reworked Aayla on the shelf with Kit, Plo and Mace.

This sculpt looks amazing but does anyone really think that this is how it will come from the factory? I just don't see it coming with those exact eyes, with the age spots / freckles on his noggin nor with the different skin tones. But I may be wrong.

I'd be VERY surprised if it comes from the factory looking like that. Those age spots are very subtle and I haven't seen anything from SS yet that says they can accomplish that type of detail.

Oh, I don't know. It probably won't look exactly like that, but I've been impressed with Sideshow's aliens like Bib Fortuna, Kit Fisto, and Plo Kun to name a few. Their paint was very well done. So much so that I don't think I've ever seen anyone repaint them. It's really not necessary.

True, but those characters were blue, green and orange skin colored respectively. Ki Ada is a fair flesh tone and there's alot of flesh to tone there. It will look very plain if it's all one simple color.
