Anyway, this new KI will probably be catered to the current fighting game enthusiast scene, so I bet the long-arse combos of old will be reduced dramatically.

Long combos are what made ki. It will still be there, just easier probably. Something like, press one button and it does 8 hits.

Will this game bring anything new to fighters, probably not.

So is this the huge secret they had for E3, where they teased a legendary franchise from a well known developer would be making a return? Not bashing, I'm just wondering if I missed out on what they were really talking about.

I never played the original games, so I can't comment on whether this remains faithful or not, but seeing a new fighting game is always refreshing.

I still have my N64 and Killer Instinct Gold. Neither the SNES version of KI1 or N64 versioun of KI2 were as good as the arcades and thats why I bought my dedicated cabinets. Its the best way to experience the originals.

Incredible collection J Rodimus! Although, I personally would swap out KI 2 for Street Fighter (any version). But, that's just me.

Oh how I would love to play KI 1 again on the original arcade cabinet! None of the home consoles could do it justice. Arcade version FTW!

I've played just about every fighting game...except Killer Instinct. I plan to get an Xbox One so now might finally be my chance to try out this game. I'm really happy to see Western developers giving the genre another shot since I've hated all of Capcom's fighting games that they have made since SF3.

Yeah, I've got a modded XBox with something like 1,500 arcade games on it. But it's not an in an actual arcade cabinet, so who really cares?
