Killzone 3

announced @ GDC this week supposedly

According to the user 'SikTh' on the PSU forums just 4 days ago, KZ3 has already been shown to the press back in February and he promises that it'll be unveiled this month without a doubt. We'll most likely see it this week during Sony's Press conference on Wednesday 10th at GDC.

He has a reputation for being 100% accurate and he also gets review copy's of upcoming games. He is highly respected on the PSU forums so none of this should be taken with a grain of salt.

look to the 10th at sony's press conference if true

Didn't like the 2nd one at first but it's awesomeness did grow on me. Graphics are phenomenol and the story is solid. A nice change when you are bored of MW2 but an amazing game in ot's own right!

I'll probabaly get this if it's anything like 2.

Can you play the 2nd one without playing the first? First one looks awful by todays standards....should finish it

Yeah, you can play #2 without having played the first. A certain character death won't have the same impact for you, naturally, but that's about the extent of it.

what looks to be first leaked screen......snow combat!!

have to say I love KZ2 still.
I also like how the game play is a lot different from the COD games so IMO you cant really compare the 2 that much like most try to do.

... will look forward to KZ3

Info according to leaked GamePro

Included in the article (while im reading)

- Will show the Helghast have humanity left in them.

- Will have the feeling that "of being in a place far away from home, outnumbered by people who want to kill you."

- Will be like Inglorious Basterds.

- All of the characters in the screenshots are flying in.. jetpacks?!

- Will include arctic levels.

- One mission in the game involves rescuing ISA Captain Narville.

- Game is playable in 3D!

- Have to wear 3D glasses, apparently the 3D effects are "crazy."

- Combat is "unchanged from predecessor."

- Or is it? Hand to hand combat involves you "Unloading a string of different (and often brutal) attacks on stunned enemies."

- The scale is supposed to be "bigger this time."

- The Jetpacks are "surprisingly lightweight and agile, Killzone 3's jetpack is easier to maneuver compared to the sluggish incarnations of the gadget found in other games."

- New weapon called the Wasp, basically shoots a "flurry of rockets" at an enemy.

- Will show off the Helgjast culture.

- There is actually a Helghast language, which will be explored in the game.

- Will have "diverse locales."

- Have to sit in the center of the 3D tv for the 3D effects to work.

- 3D in this game is called a "Game Changer."

- Going to have "Intense Action"

- Jetpacks double as a weapon, which basically means a machine gun mounted right on top of it.

- If you shoot Helghast with jetpacks, they'll "explode like roman candles"

- To control the jetpack, you "have to activate bursts of speed in midair, propelling yourself across further distances."

- The Jetpack resembles something you'd do in platformers such as Super Mario Bros. Or Uncharted

- In one mission, you have to use the jetpack by "launching yourself from glacier to glacier"

- You'll see "a lot of" snow levels.

- Everything is more spread out in this game.

- The game looks very complete.

Excellent. Hope the online play will be as good as KZ2. I think of all online FPS KZ2 cracks me up.

And now the Halo comparisons have begun. Lol...neither has been released yet and people are trying to stir crap up. I do like the snow environment idea though.

~~~Hopefully the soundtrack will be as good as Killzone 2's. I really enjoyed the OST to that game as much as Metal Gear's and Halo's.
The last game was criminally ignored by too many PS3 owners.
It's nice to see a third instalment. It will sit nicely next to my copy of Halo Reach and Black ops
It didn't really live up to the hype IMO. It was an excellent graphicsfest, but everything else kind of fell flat from the level design to the MP. I didn't play the MP for more than a couple of weeks, but I'm not the only person around here that thought it was forgettable at best.
