I didn't know some people were getting blotches, I sure hope not, but I'll find out soon.

Yeah, they look like blotches in the clear coating, not the paint itself.
I am worried about dropping the $700 on one, and getting that kind of quality.
Hope yours is flaw-free!

Well I just got home, and all I have to say is WOW this thing is awesome. I am going to go back and take photos with my dslr camera, but for right now here is a couple iphone photos. I did notice a couple of slight blotches like in the photo above, but I dont think they are nearly as bad. I did do an unboxing video, im working on getting that up now. But anyways.....


Also I have not seen the EFX version so I cant compare, and have never had a 1:1 Collectible.

How does it feel? Like a real metal shield? Been wondering what the measurements of the pedestal are, depth and width. Would you mind taking them if you get a chance ?

Do the red and blue look as dark as the photos people have taken, or are they nicer in hand?

Does the shield have a reflective look to it at all, does it look like it is metal alloy?

I would say it looks like metal alloy***Edit**(Looking at it more, I think its a little to reflective, but not as bad as some photos make it look), but Ill get some good photos shortly along with the unboxing video. Its rendering now. I do think the colors are a little dark, but I like them.

I think you got the first KA shield around here. Congrats! My classic pedestal (same as yours) is scheduled to arrive a day early. I should be getting mine tomorrow. I'll try to do some side by side comparison with my EFX shield.

That's the biggest selling point, that metal twang sound when you hit it . That's so much more important than any other feature, for me anyways.
