I've heard from numerous people that ikea doesn't ship to other ikea stores. :(

That very well may be. I'm not sure. I'd say go for the shipping and get it over with. I can appreciate the price increase though. Not ideal.

How often does your local Ikea restock?

Why would you appreciate the price increase? In an ideal world the price should be less! Haha

To be honest with you I'm not sure. I actually never been to ikea. I'm new to the collecting game and I would love to have a nice setup

Appreciate as in I understand it! :lol Yeah, the extra money invested sucks!

If I were you, plan a trip. Check out what you're investing in first. It's a big investment - especially when you're buying multiple. Just my two cents.

most definitely friend. Thanks for the advice.

Those STUVA frames intrigue me, too. They may be deep enough to fit the Godzilla Maquette, but any doors used might be insufficiently tall. Every combo I've tried (all Besta, all Stuva, Besta + Stuva, etc) has ended with at least one deal breaker. I am so tempted to just use the Lowes DIY plywood 'modular shelf'. I'd have to make my own doors, but then I could use lighter plexiglass.

Can you just lower him down a shelf?

When you do the math, you could probably save quite a bit by going to a local glass shop, give them the dimensions and see what kind of costs are. You might be surprised.

Will do that. I know at least one hardware store that will cut plexiglass sheets for cheap. I could probably get all 4 pieces for my two cabinets for under $50 USD. Would just need to get hinges (ones with built-in springs to keep the doors shut) and then order some thinner aluminum poster frames.

About the print...

# 155 here. My First print by Sideshow. Blown away by the quality of ink used on those. Its almost like theres a chalk feel to the ink. Pictures cant do this justice. I'll buy other Hulk print if Sideshow release others. Cant wait to display it with the King Hulk PF. I Will frame it on friday.

Yeah, you'll save a boat load it sounds like. Keep us updated. :rock Curious how it turns out.

I spent the other night with my cousin, who has all the power tools and knowledge, walking a Home Depot and pricing their better plywood. In short, it would probably end up costing more. If I go with the crap wood and cut some corners, I could probably get out spending the same. But the really good plywood, which is locally cut and free of formaldehyde, would run me about $300 just to make the equivalent of two $70 Stuva units (all sides, inner shelves, and thin door frames). :(

I was thinking about buying either 2 stuva shelves or 2 besta shelves. I was thinking I should remove the back wood of one shelf and connect it with the other shelf. Making it 2 times more deeper. My only problem would be connecting the two

Alright, I just ran through all the pictures but I just can't tell for sure. Is the sword supposed to be dual colored like mine or did I get a dud.

It's meant to simulate the reflection from his shoulder.

I'd understand that theory if the sword was shiny, it's a little odd to get a reflection from a matte colored sword. Just glad I didn't get a factory error. You'll only see one side of the sword once it's displayed, so not a biggie.

Man...this piece is getting harder and harder to resist!! :banghead I cancelled my Gladiator Hulk in the end as I had other pieces that I wanted to purchase more...looking back now, the Gladiator Hulk, in my opinion, just lacked something for me and I couldn't quite put my finger on it :( but since seeing the inhand pics of King Hulk, I'm liking it so much more than Gladiator Hulk and now its becoming more and more difficult to resist....:gah:
