300 had one of the most unique themes in 20th century art. That kind of attitude hasn't been seen since WWII, the American Revolution, and the Golden Age Greeks before that. There's been nothing but pragmatic, appeasing, approval-seeking, consensus-pandering skirts otherwise. It's about time someone depicted characters with a spine. Other than Batman, King Kong and Kill Bill, I don't know of any film that has reached that level of unapologetic heroism since the days of Steve McQueen.

LOL! Yeaaah... Not really.

A 51 and a 60 on MC and RT respectively... You may want to check your implication closer.

Last time I checked a 60% rating on rottentomatoes was a pass. As for the 51% MC...a percentage based on a total of 34 reviews is hardly accurate, but you already know that. Funny how you didn't mention the 780 user reviews where it scored significantly higher than either MC or RT.

It's one thing to state the opinion that you just don't like the movie, it's quite another to try and distort the stats so they line up with your opinion

So the opinions of a bunch of art school peacocks, steeped in post-modern, altruist garbage means nothing. They wouldn't have known what they were looking at if it had run them through the eye socket.

All that said, this statue is bad ass. Don't know if I would ever own it, but I have to applaud its creators.

That, and it made bunches of money!!

This was one of THE most original movies ever made. Transcended filmmaking into art. It was like a comic book on the screen. Only thing close to it was that POS Sky Captain. If they remade Conan with that type of filmmaking I'd be able to stomach at least one Conan movie.

I love the movie and I love the PF. The arrows in the base are a nice touch.

But after Indy and Conan I am afraid that not only do I not have the funds but I will no longer have the space.

It looks good so far but i'm just not that interested in it. I'd rather use the money on figures i've missed out on the last couple years.

I'll defiantly purchase it Leonidas is one of my 3 favorite movie heroes the other two being William Wallace, and Maximus both of whom should be made into PF's

like Conan that PF has grown up on me...

*thinking about buying it *

Does anyone else think the Exclusive could be an Alternate Head/without helmet or Head/w Helmet but a more Battle Worn Helmet
And maybe a Sword hand instead of a Spear
What do you guys think?

I would like to see a non-helmeted head sculpt as the exclusive.

I would like that also
I wouldn't mind if there was no exclusive seeing as I live in NZ and I purchase through Reelcollectibles which will mean I miss out on the Ex any ways :monkey2

Apparently this was a 1/4 scale resin model kit that SS has purchased the rights to. It came in two versions, one with the spear, the other with a sword.
