Kojima Remaking MGS 1 in Fox Engine!?

Gray Fox needs a Guyver alt outfit in this game.

Hell yeah! That would be awesome! Speaking of Gray Fox, how awesome would it be to play MGS from Gray Fox's perspective? Starting with his supposed death prior to MGS and up until his death in MGS. Now that would be a good vehicle for a "MGS" remake.

GUYVER!! I love that series (the manga, and the old anime from the 80s - not the remake from a few years ago)!!

I loved guyver - Bio Boosted Armor but it only told the first half of the story, the DVDs were well worth the buy. Its just a shame the prior incarnation got twice as far.

Well.....then it wouldn't be a remake would it? It would end up being a new Metal Gear Rising. I do hope that happens though if they plan to continue MGR.

It would be I suppose. It would still be MGS1 but from a different perspective, and with a small expansion because of the beginning. I wonder where it would fall because MGR is outside of MGS cannon isn't it? So I guess it could have an alternate ending or events, which could be interesting.

If they went that route I don't think it would only have a "small expansion" in the beginning. So much stuff happened with Grey Fox when he was captured and experimented on.

MGR IS canon. It was confirmed to be. Wish it wasn't, that story was awful lol.

Good point, I didn't think about it much since I wasn't sure how much Kojima would be willing to reveal about Gray Fox. I think it would be really interesting, and they're missing out by not delving into it more. Gray Fox is my favorite MGS character after the Snakes.

It is? I missed the memo on that, lol. I haven't picked it up yet as I've been catching up on my backlog of games. The last thing I remember reading was that it was a side story that wasn't considered cannon, but it doesn't surprise me that Kojima would change his mind on that. Interesting. Now I feel more compelled to finish what I'm playing now and pick it up. Thanks for the heads up.

Not sure if posted but Kojima denied they are remaking mgs1 he said possibly they want to do if possible .on his twitter account. It was mistranslated .

We all love MGS and just have different view-points at times. It just goes to show how passionate the fan base is, compared to a lot of other video game series, where there isn't a lot of debate. In that sense, the MGS threads help to make the video game section on SSF a lively place .

Yes, very true, it does make it lively, and in a good way really. What's the fun if you don't get excited once in awhile? I certainly have my reservations and things I don't like about how Kojima has handled MGS at times, but overall I just enjoy it. I just try not to let it bother me too much. At least we aren't in the same situation as Resident Evil is, that's really upsetting. Despite all I've said, I really long for the return of Solid Snake more than anything.

I'm very curious what project KojiPro will do after MGSV. It seems even when Kojima said he's moving to a new ip *surprise* it's actually MGSV
Will it be a new ip? ZOE3? MGS1 remake? MGS6?

Isn't KOjiPro a big studio? Can't they develop two titles at once.

This is my approach to the idea. They're a pretty big developer, and if they're going to remake it on the new Fox Engine, how much of a hassle would it be to assign a smaller team to start the remake, and once MGSV gets completed, attach more people to the remake for it's completion.
