Kojima Remaking MGS 1 in Fox Engine!?

Personally i wouldnt mind an MGS remake. I never played Twin Snakes coz i didnt have a Gamecube, but while i appreciated the jump in graphics, i didnt like the John Woo/Matrix additions. If anything, i would like a reimagining of the gameplay while retaining the story. Even if they tweak the layout of Shadow Moses a little, or add to the facility a bit in order to cater to new gameplay mechanics. Even the hot and cold keycard thing could be changed. I don't care. As long as the STORY doesn't change.

There was plenty more wrong in that game than that. That's why people are fearful of what this project will be in the end. I just wish people would understand that.

Hell yeah! This sounds awesome...playing at Shadow Moses in MGS4 was great, looking forward to this.

How amazing would it be if, they remade the level design updated everything, but gave the option to play the original style as well. Top-down, animated codec, original VAs. It is a short game so its very possible, and would be perfect for newcomers and the hard core.

I am quite gutted this turned out to be a mistake, but it will happen eventually.
Cant wait to play at this level of detail

Not confirmed, but if I had to guess it would be. Or redone dialogue, that is if Hayter even comes back.

You never played Abes odyssey? Its a PS1 classic. It was a 2d plat-former with CG backgrounds. Graphics have caught up so the game can look like its CG now

I'm sure this will net me some flack being that I'm such an optimistic fanboy, but just because you know the material (I want proof) and you really, really want to do it doesn't matter to me. That said, if they were genuine and could do a good job it would be better than some 3rd party developer getting the job who doesn't care about MGS and sees it as just another project. JAW did do good "looking" work on Abe's Oddysee though, but that it's appearance is all I know of it htus far.
