You edited your post after I responded smart ***. And please stop with the childish remarks. I like the idea of a remake and you dont,it is what it is.

The sad thing is I didn't. But it's the internet so I'm over it :panic:

**** it, let's just beat up Koji.

I love MGS1 but i dont think it needs updating. The first game is pretty damned awesome. But i do welcome a remake. Im more excited to the fact Hot Toys might show it some love and give us a Liquid.

I dont know what it is recently. Hes just my guy as of late.

At times I love him even more than Snake. Perfect villain in every sense of the word.

There's nothing logical about saying a remake now will be like a game from almost a decade ago.

The only games to compare this too are the most recent which is Rising and MGS4. And possibly MGSV gameplay footage as it'll be running on that engine.

3rd party developer yet again.

You're not understanding that MGS1's map layout doesn't work well with the current gameplay of MGS. The past challenges of MGS1 are easily overcome with the more dynamic gameplay of today. The only way I can see MGS1 remake working is if they overhaul the entire Shadow Moses level structure.

:exactly:

I can't see someone outside Koji Pro having permission to take liberties with that.

A 3rd party may be best for remaking MGS. Sometimes its better to be on the outside looking in, because you lived the experience of the game and know the " feel " because for thoes 8 or so hours you were the person who was on Shadow Moses rather than being on the inside where the game was a job and just a bunch of pixels and storyboards. But then that assumes the 3rd party are actually MGS fans.

TTS left a sour taste in a lot of "fans" mouths. I'm all for a good remake, if done right. I just can't see it happening. I can't see it being true to the source material if the same developers don't do it.

Good post and great contribution to the thread. I actually like it better this way as Kojima can continue working on other titles while this is being made. Too many people jumping the gun sayin **** like its gonna suck and blah blah, really sounds ignorant as there has not been anything official yet, nothing shown;we have but a smidge of info. I hope the 3P developer of choice are fans of the series and can add more to an already perfect game. Shadow Moses on the FOX engine? **** YES PLEASE!!

I think my main problem is I want innovation and a remake is not going to offer that. :dunno

Yup. Going back and having to redo games isn't a way to advance the franchise.

MGS 1 was perfection for the time it was released. You don't go about messing with something like that.

nice trolling thread. no remake unless it resembles what i knew completely. update the graphics and if the levels need to be recreated and what not, do that. but dont retcon the story. leave it alone.

Well, at least MGS hasn't fallen to Mega Man status! HAHAHAhahahehe........*sigh* :monkey2
