I'm quoting Jay-2480159 from a MSN comment he made as this is my feelings exactly to those who respond negative to this.

Sure that makes sense, but this is a "charity" that one spends a very large % of the money on themselves to stop someone who yes is doing horrible things but by what means. They support two different other "armies" that well do horrible things to children(but they are ok). Both the "armies" they support to stop the other army have been known to use child military forces, rape , steal , pillage etc.. The simple fact is this is very screwed up part of the world where at this point in time is controlled by terror. They are ravaged by hunger(and well if you support the "terrorists" you get food, I am taking the food) has more disease then probably the whole rest of the world combined. History has also shown they taking out one "terrorist" in this area only leads the one who took them out taking their place. No amount of outside help will ever end this until the people in these areas do it them self.
So go ahead send you money to them , screw those in your area that also truly need help, the outcome will be different this time.

Would be awesome if people put this much effort into taking care of kids in our own country.

The video says it about five times; the first thing that any group wanting to solve the problem has to do is give people the information to realize there even is a problem. How many people who have seen this video knew who Kony was before it went viral? Did people know what was going on in Africa? I know many people who did, but I know more who did not, and now they do. Whether or not people now turn around and donate to Invisible Children is not really the issue here. What is the issue is if people in the positions to affect change take notice, and then take action. The ICC has Kony at the top of their indicted list, and apparently some assistance is needed somewhere to actually capture him. If this video leads to a more public and fervent effort to do just that, then it will have been a success."
Umm no lets see this part of the world has repetitively done the same thing. Remember how US and NATO forces went to Somalia to take out a person just like Kony, how did that end? Oh yeah he got taken out by his own group and things havent really changed and this was dont in 1993. I didnt need some "charity" to produce a video to tell me some F'ed ____ is going down in Africa. Did i know Konys name nope but he is just another leader of a group in Africa causing destruction. He might be the worst one now but kill him and another will take his place.
If you feel better about your because you reposted a video that you buddy posted because his buddy posted etc... then great, don't hurt yourself while you pat yourself on the back. Want to do something good for Africa donate to aids causes, that's a much bigger issue than this guy.

I hope this guy is eventually caught and sends a message to other warlords that people, when united, can make something happen. I am not in favor of donating to this charity as I question how the money is used, but I am in favor of information, and the more people who know about Kony, the better chance something will be done.

Lots of Americans gave money to Hitler, including Henry Ford. Various rich American businessmen fueled Hitler's rise to power because they shared the same beliefs.

Exactly. He isn't doing all of this alone. Lots of people are following him and his orders. Without them, he has no power. A sociopath with no followers is seldom a major threat. Obviously the manner in which he does things is well respected among the people there. As an aside, is what he is doing any different than the actions of any other conqueror, like Alexander the Great? I don't endorse this man, but it seems like this is how things have been done in Africa for a long time, and it is the people who view his behavior through the Western perspective that find it the most objectionable, because it is so different than how things are in the U.S. or Europe, for example. The African culture is the real cause of this.
I hope you're not serious. Just because more people know about Kony, doesnt mean it's going to help ____.

Some of you may find humor in this, but try to remember that there are people out there who are suffering from it. It doesn't matter if it's Kony or some other person of power. Women/men and children are being harmed. Maybe you can just think about that before running straight to humor.
