Kotobukiya Venom Statue

Yeah, 3000 ES for Venom is a head scratcher. It's a GREAT looking piece but I still can't believe there are more than a thousand extra Venom statues than there are Spidey statues. That's very surprising to me given Spidey's popularity. I know a lot of peeps want Carnage next to complete the trio. However, I'm really hoping Green Goblin is the next Spidey villain Sosa is working on.

I think that after seeing the popularity of Koto's version of Spidey, Koto wanted to see if they can sell more pieces of the Venom statue to increase their profits. I don't see anything wrong with this because Koto is a business and if they don't make a decent profit, they'll stop producing great statues.

The upside for those who already own the Spidey statue is that this could drive up the value because those who will own Venom will most probably look for the Spidey statue as a companion piece. Spidey looks great and I can't wait to receive Venom to go with him.

I found mine at my LCS for about $200 at the time it took me forever to find out anything about it and what it was worth online till after some major digging. I didn't know it would go for about 1K online. It was my 1st piece and my Grail as well as the reason I got into collecting statutes.

I have one too, its around 10inch

I just had a couple of concerns about this piece. First the ppl who have this already are their hues of blue looks like rubbed off paint to be honest in the white areas such as the symbol and the eyes with your piece? Second the tongue doesn't seem like it is meant to fit completely in the slot without breaking a tooth to push it further back. It holds but seems like it should go all the way in.
