You unplug the arm at the elbow and plug in the other arm with the other shield, should be easy, the arms on mine were so loose they fell off.

I cant ****ing put the shield on how do you do it

You have to angle it just right. Keep your finger positioned behind the elbow when you are pushing it on. It's rather simple
