WOW that is simply awesome... Nice work man

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

Very nice Kuato, you were already great and it seems you grow each and every repaint. Keep it up!

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

I can see Heath in that repaint too.

Few criticisms though:

1) The white make-up is too consistant. It almost looks Jack Nicholson white there, not nearly enough skin showing through. It also goes down too far. Heath's pretty much ends at the jaw line.

2) Hair a bit too dark. I liked what you had with the interagation look. I know it was darker in the pencil trick scene, but you just went a bit too dark.

3) The lipstick is to defined on his lips. I can clearly see where his lips end and where the lipstick is applied to the scars. His blended much more creating that huge mouth illusion. Plus it wasn't perfect like yours - I think any woman would be impressed by its perfection though!

Pros:

1) The eyes look perfect! I think that perhaps that is one element really bringing out the Heath likeness.

2) The black around the eyes is also perfect here. Just big enough and the fading out is just right as well. This is by far the thing people seem to be struggling with to make it look right. Either its too big, too small or too dark. But yours is just right!

Overall, much better than Hot Toys' factory paint. I don't want you to think I am bashing it in anyway. It is MILES better than what I could even hope to do. I just know you are trying really hard to get it right before all of Chris' heads hit you. I've seen your other work and know you will have no problem with the Bales, but the Joker make-up is definately something unique that takes some trying. Even Les and Josh had to work at it. You are almost there! *This* close. Just fix those three MINOR issues and you'll be ready I think! :clap

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

Consider those minor details fixed on any Jokers from here on :). Easy fixes.
Thanks for the constructive criticism BM.

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

This is the first time I have seen Heath in that head, great Painting! Way to give heath his role as the Joker back, Very Nice!

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

Very nice Chris. I too used the HT for a practice source, and it is there. Your rework is pretty on. Any criticisms are already spoken.
Great eyes too! I think what solves the HT is the straight out eyes. For some reason, this sculpt doesn't look as much like him with the up look. Still looks cool, but less like Ledger. You did a super job though. At least there's practice subjects eh? :rock
If you get a Medi to paint, I would like to know your thoughts in it also.

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

Excellent repaint! Got just the right angle on the eyepaint...

Thank you, the eye paint is probably the hardest thing to get, but I've finally got it.

Les: Thanks brother! I've already painted another one with the corrections, but with Chris's sculpts coming to me i'm thinking i'm just gonna auction the HT one off, I only have 2 Joker suits each which will get Chris's headsculpts :)
