Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

Kuato man, I cannot thank you enough. You nailed both of these, and REALLY brought out the East likeness on Rainman's sculpt. These are absolutely amazing.

:rock :rock :rock

I will get pictures of Wilson up asap as soon as his neck connector dries

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

Eastwood is one of the best customs i've ever seen on my time on these boards!

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

Absolutely fantastic!!! Love both of them. Can you take pics of House's cane and shoes? Amazing work Kuato. Your paint apps are off the hook.

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

I only bought Serang's sculpt. Passed on the impressions set due to lack of funds. Really kicking myself now as your painted up shoes look great :rock

And thanks again Kuato, These 3 are right up there with Jack Sparrow you did. Just amazing.

dang! Those repaints are top notch. Great job on this Chris! A+ work on that Rick Deckard. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

What Deckard sculpt is that? Is it the modified Indy head, or a different one?

Looks awesome :rock :rock :rock

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

Thats the figure thats been on ebay recentley ?. I was thinking of picking one up..hmm.

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

I don't want to derail Kuato's thread but I need to post this here. ( For the mods it isn't a "for sale " post )

I've had a few pm's regarding the Deckard head . The mould was only a quick one, it was only meant to make a few casts , not as many as it did.( It was only a personal project for my brother and myself ). The later casts had tiny pin holes in the surface on the cheeks and the people buying them knew beforehand about the clean up required and agreed to do it.

I didn't want to sell sub standard casts ( ie with the pinholes ) but some still wanted a cast. Some of the casts weren't cleaned up prior to painting (for whatever reason) . If you're happy to do the work to clean it up then go for it , its just a case of putting some putty or filler over the surface and smoothing with your finger and some water and you're done .

You've seen what the end result looks like and Kuato's done a really excellent job on it, I'm very flattered to see something that I've worked on result in something as awesome as this ! Well done to the both of you ! :)

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

Havent really painted in some time, but just started to again with my own pieces, here is are two wip paint works im doing, not happy with the Indy, and as for the Solo, the likeness is only there on certain angles like the first photo, too bad its the crappiest photo :),
