Indy looks stellar!

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

Great work... can definitely see more of Han in that repaint. And the Indy just looks awesome :rock

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

Thanks everyone! This is probably the 5th time ive painted that SS INdy sculpt and im still not 100 percent happy with it :-(, Hopefully this last attempt will be the keeper. Ive really got an itch for painting Trevor Grove's sculpts now, i'm gonna have to buy a couple Star Wars figures now :)

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

Have you considered puting a bead or two of sweat running down Indy's face? I've seen a few people do that and it really makes the sculpt pop.

It looks brilliant as is though, can't imagine why you'd be unhappy with it.

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

Love the Indy paint! If I can add a teeny weeny bit a constructive criticism - the beard may look better if it were a bit more messed up, instead of all the hairs doing straight up.

Outside of that though, the skin, and eyes are INSANE.

Thanks guys,
Thank you Reinhardt, criticism is more than welcome and i agree as well thats why i'm not that happy with it.
Thank you John :)

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

Finally managed to post some photos of an Indy head that Chris painted for me in the summer. It is BEAUTIFUL and the pictures don't do it justice - I've been waiting three days for a sunny day and finally got fed up and just took them. I asked Chris to paint Indy in German disguise, and made it even more specific - I've seen some paint ups of Indy that show the expression he had when he put the bazooka down, that despairing expression. However, I asked for a particular expression Indy has when he's tied to the post and the Germans first get spooked - he kind of smirks knowingly, like he's guessed what's about to happen. Chris nailed it! Please take these photos as conveying only 50% of what you get in hand.

There's so many things to love about his work - the beautiful eyes, the minute detail you see on the hairline etc, but only after owning one of his heads did I realise that in person the best thing about them is the skin tones - he really does bring plastic to life and makes it look like there's blood beneath the skin.

Thanks Chris! Another PM sent!
