Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

GB- you will not be dissapointed with the mixture results man.

Thanks Alan,- Thats the sculpt I was looking for the longest time but never could get a hold of one. It is a great looking sculpt. The one I am still working on is in correct 1/6 scale well its at least smaller than that one and the DC Direct one haha. Only thing now is to find some good 1/6 clothing for the finished custom :) maybe a retailoring of the DCD one.

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

I would say i use a 70/30 ratio, Firm being the 70. because I think its just better to work with a more solid material than soft. by the way, check your notifications man.

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

Cool, will give it a go this weekend :duff

I did just check the notifications; thanks for that :duff

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

Hi Kuato, is there a waiting list I can get onto for a repaint? Your work looks great.

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

I just spent the last hour going through this thread. With out a doubt you're the best painter on this forum bar none! And also a remarkable sculptor!

Wow John, coming from the man who inspired me to begin painting means ALOT!! I used your first tutorial to rocket me forward in my painting endeveours. BTW I believe you are the master painter my friend.

DCFAN- I am not accepting commissions at the moment :)

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

holy crap dude. that is AWESOME! i hope the first time i try and sculpt it turns out like that. but it'll probably end up looking like that thing out of "ghost" at the end of that one scene. and i don't mean whoopi goldberg either.

loving the alex ross expression too. seriously cool.

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

:banana Thanks Guys! Im actually glad to be done with this one because now after buying the recently released ROUGH JUSTICE book at barnes and noble the other day, i really want to do another batman gritting his teeth.

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

Oh man, this is looking great Chris. Only 8 hrs too. Great work!

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

whoa that looks great! i can't see the lips too well but they look incredibly clean and detailed!
and that's in wax right? how was it?

Re: Kuato's Paintwork and Customs

Ryu- yeah believe it or not all this time passing by and I barely had anytime to work on it, thats why I cant wait for this summer.
Daniel, I was actually able to get the fine lines in the bottom lip pretty good, i will try and take closer sharper pics. The wax was great man, you definately need to try it, I started trying Castilene the other day and i have to say compared to the Willow Wax product, it is far inferior.
Thanks Void, i cant wait to do more work, however I need to do some painting as well, i dont want to lose my touch on painting :)

Chris
