Drug cheat....but who cares.

Isn't every athlete guilty of this nowaday in some form or another?

What about the guy who came in 2nd on those 7 wins? Will he be held to the same scrutiny?

Blackthornone, I can no longer respond to you because the only appropriate response involves tearing you a new one. I will refrain from making the mistake of entertaining your brilliant insights in the future. If we could all be so smart, we would still be wearing animal skins and clubbing our wives. Thank you for showing me the light.

Please stop insulting other members or this thread will be locked. Thank you.

You're welcome.

"THE SOURCES OF CONGESTION AND UNRELIABLE TRAVEL

Congestion has several root causes that can be broken down into two main categories:

Too much traffic for the available physical capacity to handle – Just like a pipe carrying water supply or the electrical grid, there are only so many vehicles that can be moved on a roadway for a given time or so many transit patrons that can be accommodated in a given number of buses or trains. Transportation engineers refer to this as the physical capacity of the highway system. Physical bottlenecks are locations where the physical capacity is restricted, with flows from upstream sections (with higher capacities) being funneled into smaller downstream segments. This is roughly the same as a storm pipe that can carry only so much water — during heavy rains the excess water floods the streets and houses behind the pipe. However, the situation is even worse for traffic. Once traffic flow breaks down to stop-and-go conditions, capacity is actually reduced — fewer cars can get through the bottleneck because of the extra turbulence."

WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT TRAFFIC CONGESTION?

Transportation engineers and planners have developed a variety of strategies to deal with congestion — a toolbox for managing congestion. The strategies can be grouped as follows:

1 Adding more capacity for highway, transit and railroads;
2 Operating existing capacity more efficiently; and
3 Encouraging travelers to use the system in less congestion-producing ways."

Riding bicycles instead of using cars would be under number 3.

People drive fast when there is less traffic and slow when there is more. They do this for safety and because merging reduces traffic speeds.

Driving faster will not reduce traffic congestion under the same conditions. Show me a study that says it can.

No problem with the guy or what he has/ may have done. There's more important issues out there. I support mr armstrong

Why the internet is dangerous in the wrong hands :lecture

Armstrong, Barry Bonds, Sosa, BigMac, Greg Maddux (yeah he was to good not to. I bet the entire Braves staff did it... Rocker and Wohlers hit a barn door when they stopped), all the athletes that "cheated" Thank you for making your sport fun to watch and getting the world involved and interested. It sucks when you retire and its what have you done for me lately crowd talks.

Do you support every other cheater in athletics? What about all of the cyclists who raced clean over the years who lost to cheaters? Allowing cheaters to win undermined the very premise of the event, which is to determine how fast a human being can naturally be on a bicycle. Allowing cheating is a slippery slope to cybernetics, at which point it ceases to be a genuine athletic event.

Name some clean cyclists from that time frame. Second if they didn't lose to Armstrong they would have lost to the next guy.

There have been other reports saying it went as far as the top 20+ doped.

wow, people on here actually support a guy who sued people for telling the truth about his cheating. smh
