Driving faster will not reduce traffic congestion under the same conditions. Show me a study that says it can.

Allowing cheaters to win undermined the very premise of the event, which is to determine how fast a human being can naturally be on a bicycle. Allowing cheating is a slippery slope to cybernetics, at which point it ceases to be a genuine athletic event.

Name some clean cyclists from that time frame. Second if they didn't lose to Armstrong they would have lost to the next guy.
