Lando Calrissian SS Petition Gun fix

i wanted to start a thread for all the SS members to let SS know they need to repalce the rebel trooper Gun with the Bespin Guard Gun ... he never had this gun and SS will lisen to us some time ... lets get this going

I barely even remember seeing the bespin guard gun.. and the stormie gun is THE gun I remember lando with..
so the rebel gun will just be a bonus for me.

Besides..
doing a new gun is just gonna make them drive the price up another ten bucks..

I am all for it....not losing any sleep over it, but the besin guard gun would be cool. As awesome as the SS stormie blaster is (and it is awesome), we have too many of them already!

I'm pretty sure SS knew about this going in. And they decided the ST blaster is what he's remembered for, if he didn't get the ST blaster there would be a thread petitioning for it.

I originally thought it was a poor choice to have the Rebel blaster in place of the Bespin Security Guard gun, but another forum member pointed out that the only gun he touched in ESB is in fact the two ST blasters he takes when rescuing Leia and Chewbacca. I honestly thought he grabbed a Bespin pistol when Han punched him in the holding cell, but upon reviewing the footage in the original ESB he is grabbing his cape.

The Rebel Trooper blaster association comes from promo photos and of course the Kenner figure. The best solution in my view is for Sideshow to make a 1:6 scale Bespin Security Guard sometime.

I was just getting ready to post something about this.

It's a far cry from the Rebel blaster, which was never even seen in Empire or Jedi. I don't know what made them decide to run with the Rebel blaster, but it's not the proper gun by any stretch.

I'd like to see this done properly as well, Sideshow. You did it for Plo Koon. Can you come through for us on this?

To the best of my knowledge Lando NEVER held that blaster during the movie. There were, however, promo stills showing him with the Rebel blaster. Add to that the fact that, apparently, the vintage weapon was a mix between the Rebel blaster and Bespin gun.. I say we don't really need the Bespin pistol.

I agree, he's light on the accessories, so it would be nice to see him come with one, as it would make sense, but then agina, in the film, we only ever see him use one gun, the stormtrooper gun

The reason that Hasbro packagd him with the rebel trooper blaster is becuase kenner gave him that gun. the reason kenner gave him that gun is the originl kenner toys from the 80's were all based on the Publicity photos fo the characters, which is also why the vintage lando is smiling. the only gun lando had in the publicity photos was the REbel trooper blaster.

however, looking at it now, i think that's actualy ponda boba's blaster, not the rebel trooper gun. Look closely at the end of the scope, you'l notice it's missing the litte clear bubble. I wonder if that's the gun he comes with as well..
Nope, lookinc closer, I see that he does indeed come with the trooper blaster. it's hasbro-accurate, but not photo accurate. Even still. i have not yet seen a picture of him holding the security blaster.

Also, in return of the jedi, he "used" this pistol. he never drew it, but it was in his holster

ulp. disregard that, I suck cocks. It is a trooper blaster in the publicity photo, appearently there were variations that did not have the "bubble" on the end of the scope.

it'd be neet if sideshow made it and tossed it in, it's a fairly simply design, but it's not a dealbreaker for me if it's not included.

When this came up in the Lando thread I posted where there is a decipher card that showed Lando in his ESB costume with his ROTJ blaster so that would be a vaild option as well. None of them are a real dealbreaker for me since only the stormtrooper blaster is on film and any of the others would fit the character so I just look at them as a bonus no mater which we get.
