Seriously. If this wasn't "Godzilla", I would wish LP and WB that this bombed solely for their invisible marketing and the fact that they bypass ToyFair to really show the new Godzilla off. It's so gimmicky to do exactly what they did for Godzilla in '98. Plus, the general design has been leaked already. Unless they truly have some amazing switch up their sleeves, this is so stale and honestly it's making me more excited for other films that I'm actually seeing things for like Avengers 2, Guardians of the Galaxy, new Transformers, etc.

And whatever happened to that new trailer that was supposed to be dropped on Friday?

They can go kick rocks.

There's reports of a trailer by the end of the month with a closing shot of Godzilla approaching in daylight.

And though it's only NECA, there's a lot of Merchandise shown here to be coming.

That 18" Knifehead I linked a page ago is going to be priced at $150, BTW.

I assume the Godzilla figure will be priced similarly.

Come march we better get a slew of marketing and new posters. They better get the train moving. I hate when studios try to be secretive when half the internet already from somthing being leaked.

Same feelings here. The lack of publicity for this film plus the secrecy gives me a been here, done that feeling in regards to all this. Leading up to GINO back in 1998 I remember Sony had multiple trailers that came out months before release (the first played in 1997 with Men In Black) sans the lizard but even the secrecy element was fun and that hype got people into theatres at least for the first week. Until we all realized that we had been had. Now 16 years on, we've only had one official trailer (two if you count the 2012 Comic Con teaser leak) and multiple leaked pics of Godzilla while WB/LP refuse to officially lift the veil on what Godzilla and the MUTOs look like. It's all really wishy washy in my book. And in the final analysis, Sony failed miserablely with everything that was Godzilla ultimately. Yeah, I now that next month is supposed to be the month where all the secrecy gets lifted but you know what as days go by, I'm starting to wonder if WB/LP is really all the way behind this production or do they feel that this film is just not going to give them a box office winner. Captain America and Guardians of the Galaxy are higher up on interest list right now too. Sad really.

One word

Legendary legal shenanigans with WB and other very powerful investors getting in the way of this, I don't see how it can't be that.

The stuff I read about the back stabbing taking place was really nasty stuff.

And there's that hanging over this film too. That's probably the crux of it right there. It costs millions to promote a movie nowadays. WB maybe wanting to forego a big push on this. Not good. Let's hope all the hits on the trailer puts people in the seats.

Nah the 12" tall, 24" long Godzilla shown is less than $50 at most online stores. It's way smaller than the 18" Knifehead. Now if they end up doing an 18" G, it'll come with a hefty price tag.

I'm glad they're doing a 12 inch one. 18 inch is awesome too but maybe a biiiiit too big.

I agree, even though I love my 18 inch Gipsy Danger, there's no way I could put him in a shelf case so he's on a desk. I prefer the 12 inch line of figures and wish Neca did a 12 inch line of pacific rim. That's my biggest concern with the 18 inch Knife Head, he's going to take up a lot of space. If I dig the 12 inch godzilla enough I'll pick him up, 50 bucks is a damn good deal too.

I'm pretty set on getting the 12" tall figure, before I wasn't certain cuz it seemed like it'd be the same as the 6" just bigger an with sound, but the tail is articulated instead of being bendable rubber and the more we see, the head size compared to his body seems really small, I feel like it'll be too small to have good detail on a 6" figure.

On top of that, it'll probably be my only chance to buy a big Godzilla, tallest I have now is 10", this will look massive next to my 10" 54 Godzilla.
