We have a huge Godzilla movie on the way. It's black, white, and awesome. It doesn't star Raymond Burr OR Bryan Cranston.

That's right! Rialto Pictures is releasing a newly restored cut of the original and uncut 1954 Godzilla starting April 12 at TCM's Classic Film Festival. After that, it'll appear occasionally in towns across the country before slipping back into the ocean for an undetermined amount of time. You can see if your city, town, or hamlet makes the cut here.

Of course, this isn't the only Godzilla coming out this year, but if you haven't seen this, and by that I mean the original Japanese version, and have the opportunity to see it on the big screen, that's something you should really make a priority. Despite decades of silliness to follow, the original Godzilla has the best Kaiju suit work and photography in the entire Heisei series. Plus, the film actually terrifies - historical context or no.

Yea somthing with Godzilla walking under a aircraft carrier and it being narrated by Bryan cranston. Also they are supposed to show a closeup of Godzilla's face or something.

wth? So all the posters leading up to this one have been awesome showing just glimpses of his body, but they looked great. But this poster, man it just looks photoshopped like it's very much fan made. The other posters atleast looked organic, this just seems weird. It's a nice sign that it seems they are preparing to start marketing this, it's just unfortunate it started with this.

The bottom of the poster says UK and Ireland so I wonder if this is just something they whipped up to put out to those countries and isn't a sign to what the future posters will look like.

He's not. He's just superimposed to make an intriguing poster. Godzilla's always been literally larger than life in his Japanese posters.
