I don't think there will be any issue with Moe and Barney figures - DUffman maybe, but not the other two.

However, I am betting that they are trying to save them for a Moe's set. And FOX has a problem with Moe's. It wasn't Playmates that was hesitant with the WoS set, it was FOX. And I'm betting it wouldn't be Lego that would be hesitant about Moe's (remember this is a European country where kids drink wine with dinner without batting an eye), but once again, I'd bet FOX would have issues. And you can thank people like that Florida mom that complained about the Breaking Bad figures for that sort of situation.

Lisa/Maggie might be the toughest, assuming the tail isn't sculpted onto the cat, but yeah, I don't think these will be very tough to figure out. I'm getting Bartman for sure, and maybe Hibbert, Groundskeeper Willie, and Smithers.

Maggie is easy to feel because of the point on the back of the dress.

Kwik-E-Mart turned out great. So much detail just like the Simpson House. Not sure if I'll get it because of price and room, but really impressed with it. Definitely picking up the next mini-figure series. I do wish Homer, Marge and Bart would have been a decent variant with the Kwik-E-Mart though.

I think the fact Lego is taking on such an 'adult' themed series like the Simpsons is a pretty good indicator they are starting to recognize their adult collector market. I honestly don't know how many kids are getting these $200+ sets so hopefully they don't feel they can't do things like Moe's because of the content. And hopefully Fox will let them. I find it so odd they don't have a problem with it on the show, but when it comes to merchandise they are so conservative. Then again, we got Princess Kashmir in a regular WoS wave and Duffman and Moe's was an online exclusive

Indeed, McD tried to establish beer but they totally failed. I believe they canceled it after 3 months or so.

Just got my last 3 figures today! Series 1 is complete now!

Attitudes in the U.S. about alcohol in general are much different than where you are King, and it's really a fairly recent phenomenon. When I was young, parents certainly never thought twice about rubbing whisky on a child's gums who was teething and in pain - now you'd get a visit from child protective services, no exaggeration.

I don't think Lego would loose any sleep over a Moe's as a set, but FOX has always been concerned about the brand when it comes to licensed product in the states and alcohol. Hell, look at the crap Mountain Dew is getting this week because their new soda looks too much like a 'craft beer', even though soda was using that style bottle for decades.

The rules might be a little different overhere, but the attitude is pretty much the same. The only real difference I can think of is the way how we handle the topic of drinking in the public. It is just a different way to achieve the same aim: youth protection. Children are not allowed to drink alcohol overhere aswell. So you wont see kids running drunk through the streets here either. Btw No (mental healthy) person would give their children any kind of alcohol. And they would be in trouble in most countries I think.
Granted, France wouldnt be the same without red wine and Germany has a certain love for beer, but both countries have a very strict attitude when it come to youth protection and alcohol.

This being said, I want MOEs.
