I do, however, intend to replace the oddly-glued brooch with the one from the Aragorn and Brego set from Toy Biz. It's about the same size and much more detailed, and will look much better.

It was the same with Aragorn's evenstar pendent. The DiD is way nicer looking. Not much was put into pendent and brooch.

just got mine about 6 minutes ago. I had him on reserve and haven't checked my email in a while to see if he was converted, but happy surpise. He looks great, much better in person and the pictures really don't do him justice

just got mine and all i can say is wow. wow! the pics (sideshow's or anyone else's) don't come anywhere even close to doing this guy justice. my first impression is that he is one of the best sculpts so far from the sw or lotr 1/6th stuff. his tunic does have the 'butcher apron' look going but i'm not attempting to get it wet and sculpt it until i see someone else do it. he does have a seam line in his hair which is kind of annoying but not a big deal. outfit, sculpt, paint, etc are head and shoulders above aragorn by far. overall, probably my second favorite figure i've gotten from ss so far (not including predator stuff). he's on my shelf and from where i'm sitting it's totally orlando.

Yep! Just landed as well! Yeah Wow is what I thought too at first glance. Looks very nice so far. Time to open the boxen.......

I'm so relieved people are starting to see the sculpt in person instead of judging by photos. It was hard to keep telling people "yeah but its better in hand" when all I had was some macro-warped photos to show. :D

But now you see the glory!

"And you have my bow."

I wasn't lying when I said this sculpt is right up there with Maul.

:)

Yes I argee. Looking at him in hand right now. The sculpts paint and shape of the jaw is so different in person. I'm really happy with this one. :D

Am I the only one who would prefer plastic belts/straps AND to have the figures will their packs/quivers/ etc already on? Aragorn took over an hour figuring out his belt, quiver, and back (especially because the cloak). Same with Legolas, but a Quiver strap was broken the whole time only adding to my confusing. The leather straps are WAY too small to be used because they are so delicate. So far I've been careful enough not to break anything myself.

What was so complicated about the quiver? I just slipped it right on and tied the knot, took all of a minute at most.

But I agree, this material will not last long. I've used it for other projects and it wears away very quickly.

There are some great pictures in thread! Congratulations to anyone who's gotten his already. I still have to wait until Monday for mine. I am really excited about this; Aragorn has been lonely for some time now. :monkey2

that sounded so wrong, so wrong. Compared to the Aragorn scult, I think Legolas blows him out of the water. They look good next to each other, can't wait for Boromir and..dare I say, Gandalf the Grey !!!!!
