Sold out is still sold out, so it does not matter how long it takes. Sideshow will make as many as we will buy and as long as the license holds out. It is good business sense.

I like the fact it takes 6 to 7 hours to sell out, it is hell trying to get a Star Wars figure on order. I missed about half of the Star Wars 12" exclusives, have all the LOTR exclusives so far.

I think the LOTR figures look better than the Star Wars Figures. What do you all think?

I agree a sell out is a sell out. Which means the line is successful IMO. Really both lines look great though. I'm just glad to be able to get them.

I think the SW 12" figures look way better than the current LOTR 12". I don't even like Star Wars all that much.
To be honest the only LOTR piece I've been impressed with so far was Lurtz. Whereas I generally think all the SW pieces so far are pretty good.

I agree that the Lurtz PF is incredibly good. I am not very impressed with Frodo PF so far as I like the Aragorn 12" figure better than Frodo PF.

Got mine, no problem, and I really like it. 2/2 for LOTR 12" Exclusives....so far.

IMO, that's because creatures/monsters are easier to sculpt than human. you can see that with the weta line too. the orcs etc... they look good. but that cannot be said for most of the human pieces. so it will always be the case i feel.

For the Weta Line, I think many of the face sculpts are pretty good. I am looking at my display and I see the actors faces are pretty darn accurate for Theoden, Elessar, Arwen, elrond, Sam, Gandalf, Boromir, Merry, Pippin, Eowyn and Gimli. Weta missed on Legolas and Frodo (and Aragorn, but I do not have that statue), so overall they did good likenesses.
