There were few things my father and I bonded over more than Mr. Spock and Star Trek. Boldly go old friend . . .

Very sad to read this. Have been a big fan of Star Trek and his since childhood. My dad got me into it and we still share a love for it today. Knew it would happen soon since he revealed COPD last year, but still sad.

Thank you very much for being a legend that will live forever in my memory in the sector of happiness.

While it is always sad to hear the news of anyone's passing, rarely do celebrity deaths have much of an impact on me. But this one is a real gut punch. Just as DeForest Kelley's passing many years ago was, as well.

Some people, even though we will never know them personally, just feel woven into the fabric of our lives, and when they go the loss is as surely felt as if you had lost a friend. And that's what Leonard Nimoy's passing is to me. It is a loss that I am truly, genuinely, and deeply saddened by.
