Re: LES WALKER - All NEW Custom Works 2009
Thanks for the well wishes everyone. Looks like what I had was a double case of food poisoning. Two meals in the same day, both tainted. Then, add in my high blood pressure, and I almost bought the proverbial farm. Came THAT close. If I had not called an ambulance at 1am Christmas morning, I very well might not have any head paint problems! (I actually thought of that on the gurney in the ER around 2am...)
But seriously, I am VERY glad to be alive, and even to the point I am glad to have the problems still with me! In a manner of speaking. At least I am alive to deal with them now! Could have been one hell of a mess for someone to solve post-Les.
Anyway, I am hoping to have a much better 2010 than the last years were, and wish the best for all here for their's. ALL of you. Even those who impatiently await long overdue stuff. At least you want my work still. That alone is a blessing, and no longer something I dread or even find a bane to my existance. Yeah, it got bad for me, with all I had going on, but no more! I am still here! I am darned grateful too. Yesterday, I sat here, painting, and planning a lot of shipouts, and was actually glad to feel what I do.
So, with that, look for lots of emails, (I have emailed a lot of you already) and more, shipping info and notices, and more. It feels pretty darned good too!
Thanks all for being unbelievably patient with me through the last couple of years. I was not the best example of a business man, nor will I be most likely, but I am here, I am still working, and am still proud to have been able to do something for all of you.
I am also glad I retired! LOL! The ONE smart move I made last year! Slowed down the incoming, and let me start to catch up.
Will I ever return to this stuff? Maybe. But not for a long while. I hope to finish everything, even if it means selling off a lot of my personal collection to pay for shipping it all, and I am doing that, so no worries, I found a way to solve that without regular work...but I am mostly grateful for the lessons learned here.
I have learned a LOT of what NOT to do. And I have also made a LOT of friends. A lot. To you I say, thanks. I am honored to have met so many of you, and have maintained anything remotely like friendship.
Thanks again, and Happy New Year to you all.
You all deserve it!
All my best,
Les
